With Cardiff playing Boro next weekend, we could theoreticly be going into the boxing day game against Middlesboro 4th a point ahead of them. Would be a great boost for the lads if we did.

That always assumes we theoretically win our match and they lose or only draw

There is now a three point gap between the top six and seventh place. I think that's the biggest it's been so far and hopefully the start of a break-away.

I think I would rather Cardiff and 'Boro draw so if we win then we'll all be on the same points. But I would settle for 4th going in to the festive period. Looking at our fixtures the next three home games (Millwall, Peterborough and Derby) are all winnable. 'Boro and Burnley away will be difficult though. If we can win the home games though then we should still be in play-off contention.

On the debate whether it is better to stay in the Championship or go up to the EPL, I can understand the argument that to stay in the second tier you see a more competitive games.

However the posters that say they wouldn't mind being a yoyo team, I feel this should be the way to build a good team over say 4 or 5 season, and if managed correctly should be able to do it without getting into debt, and using the extra revenue generated by being in the EPL. With parachute payments, and what should be left over from any season in the EPL, should be enough to get together a reasonably good squad.

Woooow......Be like NB .... Humble....Take one game at a time....Don't count your chickens etc.....Cliches I know, but common sense. Millwall won't be coming to ours to give us 3 points just like that..

Agreed, we should concentrate on getting promoted before thinking how we should go about the prem campaign but for the debate I'd say being a yo-yo team would be much more preferable to administration and League 1/2 obscurity.

No reason why we can't see out 2011 unbeaten in 7 but we've gotta go into games one at a time we cant look at the teams around us, we've got to concentrate on City winning, we do that we continue climbing up the league and building a gap between us and 7th place. No reason why we cant go up but right now I just wanna beat Millwall on saturday!

Don't care what the others do, just as long as we keep winning.

CORRECT. But with Hull City winning i hope that the following happens on saturday 17th dec. 2011

Cardiff City v. Middlesboro ends in a draw. AND IT WOULD MEAN HULL IN JOINT 3RD with all 3 on 39 points.

Leeds Utd v. Reading ends in a draw.

Portsmouth v. Southampton i think Will end in a draw.

West Ham v. Barnsley Cannot see anything other than a home WIN, but you never know.

Doncaster v. Lesta. hope for a home win. Now that would be funny.
