.........games are strangely enough all home at the CCS to "safe" mid table clubs - Preston, Stoke and Jacksville. Apart from the obvious improvement in our table position, what would 9 points be worth to the Club/manager/players/supporters going forward? Now we've got Morison confirmed in the job for next season, I'd like to think these games and the ones to follow will have real meaning, not just to see the season out. Getting Zak Davies signed up is a great start, but now we're more or less certain to be playing Championship football next season, these final 10 games will be important to shape the squad. With his contract under his belt and from recent evidence of his character, I can't see Morison passing up the opportunity to make his mark for the remaining games - letting the season run down because we're safe will not be an option.
Well I guess the higher we finish the more attractive we are to free agents an loaners come the summer. Perhaps even a purchase if we have a Bob or two. What's important to me is that Steve Morison continues to develop a style for the club. I don't think he's anywhere near where he wants to be yet. I can see him wanting to develop a high press game but just for the moment, he probably feels we're a bit vulnerable in defence and open to the counter. As for the next three, they're all winnable I reckon. Preston blowing hot and cold, Stoke in free fall and who was the other one? I think we have at least another season of development and I'm sure there'll be progress on the way
I can see Morison going ape **** if we lose to Swansea, by then a win could see us overtake them in the league.
That is a remarkable stat. For the last half dozen seasons Ive been waiting for it to happen, especially when we were in the premier league.
