    Combined 800k?

Not sure the relevance to me asking what you value JBG at? I'm sure you'll now tell me.

JBG is the sort of player Curbs would have spent £3m on and then gradually turned him into an ineffective central midfielder who doesn't score or set up.

Do Walmart Greeters really shoot horses, eddie? I've never heard that before.

As for Dicky the 3rd, my opinion is rather prosaic: a fine administrator as you say, but a poor uncle if truth be told.

Despite his failings, however, I would always support his claim over those of the Theodores and Lancasters: My allegiance to Lionel of Antwerp's kin is absolute.

And yet I am still dubious as to whether the bones really are those of Dicky: I am no Polydore Vergil, but I suspect further research will unearth 'a fool or two'.

Ponder, I've read a lot of history books lately, which I think is a symptom of getting old, but I can barely follow a Word of your post beyond Dickie (who I identify simply from Reading the previous posts). I asume Lionel of Antwerp won't be coming in the summer as part of the network?

Dick - I understand your sentiments, but you should hold firm to your principles and resist renewing. There is more chance of me voting for Natalie Bennett than me handing over season ticket renewal money to pay for Meire's 6 inch heels.

Don't be taken in by the so called winning football. The fundamentals and governance of the Club are still 100% wrong. As soon as we go on a bad run next season, Luzon will be bolted, another patsy will be drafted in on a back wind of lies to replace him....and the likes of fair weather buffoons like Reams will be calling for Douches public castration.

Just out of interest, Vol, what will you do with your spare Saturdays and Tuesdays? Do you follow a non-league side or do you plan to invest your time and energy in an altogether different pursuit?

I think your stance is admirable, but I do hope you are wrong with your predictions.

This is my gut feeling. It is like one of those SF movies where the extraterrestials take over and are all smiles and beneficence. Then our heroes find out that humans are actually being turned into compost for Betelgeuse Eight. There is something creepy about both RD and Katrien, as there was with Riga. Luzon is probably human but has been subject to extensive lobotomy, as witness his vacant grinning and his robotic twitching on the touchline.

Not nearly enough for Kermorgant. From mutterings through the grapevine, it was somewhere between £300 to £450k. Stephens was a lot more, but he's done sod all since leaving us.

Charlton in 2015 is starting to remind me of the Ridley Scott classic Blade Runner. You have these horrible Replicants all around, with blank faces and no original thought processes, all being controlled by a single entity. The members of this site are reminiscent of the Harrison Ford character, bunkering down and destroying them when they can.
Reams would be the Replicant female in the frizzy wig - prone to extreme levels of irrational violence when he doesn't get his daily dose of Castrol GTX (or strong lager, in his case).

Except that Deckard, the Harrison Ford character, turned out to be a Replicant as well.

He's been injured for the majority of it unfortunately.

Checked their forum the other week after he scored against derby and they've been complimentary about when he's played, but annoyed that he's been injured a lot of the time.

Nathan Jones also mentioned the fact whilst at Charlton he was sacrificed and should have been an attacking midfielder rather than a holding. Loved CP, but every man and his dog knew that, except him.

What you have to take into account is that the squad was badly imbalanced and that Chris did not have a senior defensive midfielder in the squad so he played Kermit in that position because he could trust him. Perhaps Chris's bigest failing was his lack of trust in youth.... because we had both Cousins and Poyet who could (and did!) succesfully play in the def mid role if only Chris had taken the risk.

With regard to Lionel of Antwerp and his claims? I'm not so sure... yes he may have been voted world player of the year several times BUT that was just for one (very succesful) Club whereas Cristiano of Merksem has played top class football for three clubs in three leagues and has pull his present club up by their swordstraps to be top class again. So I'm on team Cristiano. I think PEA's dedication to Lionel is down to his burial in Clare Priory in Suffolk and not based on the statistics.

I'm banking on the fact that Roland, whatever his faults, is not stupid. Our best players are young enough to improve considerably over the next 2 or 3 seasons, and therefore appreciate in value. So Hopefully Rolo will not have a fire-sale to balance the books short-term, like he did at SL, and only JBG will be sold. I can't imagine life without the walk down Floyd road, so am leaning towards renewing my ST. Which may make me a jackass, time will tell.

And what a wonderful place it is, AllHell. Have you been? The castle is nearby, but be prepared for the thigh-killer of an upwards march.

Your assumption is wrong, though: the fact remains that Lionel's lineage is absolute compared to that of the Lancasters and Theodores.
