Next Gen Series back on thursday. Sellick Vs Sporting Lisbon at Firhill.

Lisbon are right up there with the favourites in this tournament.

Eurosport will be showing 18 games from the tournament this year so hopefully a few Sellick games might get on.

A fabulous thing to be part of. I am certain the experience will serve them well.

Gives a good grounding for coping with European style of football and how to deal with different class of opposition. Playing in Scotland only would see us produce wave after wave of players who can cope with what the lower leagues have to cope with in scotland. Might hopefully see more talent come through, maybe

It's a good wee thing to be part off, I hope we can get ourselves a few wins and decent performances. We done OK in some games last year but then got humped in others. Lisbon are one of the better teams apparently so we'll see how that goes.

The German side scored a typically South American scorcher of a goal to win the tie as the Dutch team walked away with a 1-2 victory.

    Well done Sporting Lisbon.
    WEll done Celtic.

Went along in the end with 2 pals. 1st half was good, with Celtic soaking up a bit of pressure and getting a goal against the run of play. 'Keeper had an astounding save to keep the Bhoys ahead, getting down far to his right when it looked easier for the Sporting lad to score.

Second half was pretty average albeit their 2nd goal was a cracker from 20-25 yards.

    Great pies too.
