In my dream world AW does well over the next 3 or so years winning us our first CL trophy aswell as adding another league title or two, he then retires and Pep takes over at Arsenal.

Pep then signs Fabregas back to Arsenal and continues our beautiful attacking football. Eventualy convincing Messi to come to the club after we do the treble. Pep then spends the next 5-10 years dominating world football with Arsenal, before making way to an Henry/Bergkamp partnership.

    I need to drink less.

  2. Hmmmnnnn.... I'm not sure about bringing Fabregas back really. He didn't do enough when he was here and when it was his time to really step up, he chose to leave in a manner that saw us not get enough for him. So really no thanks from me. By that time Aaron Ramsey would have honed his skills and I would rather someone who wanted to be in an Arsenal shirt as opposed to someone who let another slip a Barca shirt over him.

Fabregas gave us his all for 8 years and clearly loved the club. We also didn't get that bad of a deal - supposedly 40 mill total, with 50% of sell on value and first refusal to buy him back.

To be honest i think Fabregas has been very professional and very respectful towards the club and fans. He has clearly been wanting to go back to Barca but still trying to lead Arsenal and desperately wanted to win something.

I wish him the best of luck and if he wanted to come back i'd take him in a second.

  4. Well, after you friend ;) because I feel that if he loved us that much he would have respected the contract. Up till a year ago I would probably have happily left the armband with him but in the last year he didn't appear to show enough to convince me that he was anything but serving time after Wenger had persuaded him to stay an extra year. He certainly didn't lead the team in the manner of a captain. That draw at SJP was such an example. What captain lets his club slip like that without as much as a murmur?

Apologies as I didn't mean to rain on your parade.

    Peace <peacedove>

I agree he has been demoralised, but don't think the short time he was disillusioned should overule the rest of his time at the club. I also think he genuinely loved the club, he spent a massive chunk of his life here and properly respects Wenger.

I know we allwanted him to stay, but there wasn't going to bea good timefor him to leave and i'm glad the saga is now over.
