I can see Sterling or Coady to be the next youngster to come through. Sterling is probably the most likely, if you're ready then it doesn't matter how old you are. I can't see any youngsters breaking into the first 11 in the league this season though, I think we have too many experienced players who are ready to prove themselves for the youngsters to really be worth the risk at the moment. It would be nice to see a new superstar come through the ranks but we might just have to wait another season, and if they're good enough and worth it then they'll wait too. I was going to say he should make some appearances this season, but with the inevitable arrival of Coates, I can't see him getting any games. Carra, Agger, Skrtel, Kelly and Coates will be ahead of him so I he'll only get league game time if we have a really bad injury crisis in defence.
Sterling will be a quality player he's quick with good feet but also has a good football brain. My kid is with the Swansea U13's. I may have mentioned this before once or twice.
I counted 344 times Luv. What position does he play? Perhaps we should make a collective call to Kenny.
He's a striker, he's got 5 in the 2 pre-season games for his club side including a 15 min hatrick. Swansea play him as a center back as he can play any position. He reads the game so well for a 12 year old, I really think he may have a chance but it's so difficult to make it in football.
1. suso... sorry but he's not improving very much, still has top technical ability on the ball and is two footed but he is just not standing out for me. needs the ball to come to him, deosn't demand it and diesn't drive a game with his ability. 2. morgan. 100 times better finisher than eccelston but unfortunately has not got the pace to make the break through. 3. sterling, its so obvious that i think the only thing holding him back is a bit of growing and a pro contract signiture. 4. coady, yes he could make it but he's also one that needs to add a bit to his game, not much but he needs to cut out a few mistakes. those not yet mentioned suprisingly; Wisdom, he could break through at RB, kelly and flanagan have done so but this guy is very powerful, quikc and looks to have the capability. Adjoran, where suso simply isn't really impressing in the middle kristina adjoran is absolutely a gem of a playmaker, he's top drawer IMO. if you watch for anyone in a creative sense to come though its him.
Morgan could turn into a Robbie Fowler or a Neil Mellor, I hope for our sake its the first one. My tips are Coady, Wisdom and Sterling.
I think we should sign Queso. Queso and Nacho would be a classic combination and help us on the table. Can you imagine "bueno queso nacho", makes my mouth water.
Sterling will definitely make it to the first 11 Morgan also looks class,Coady and Suso very good too
I think I read somewhere that the staff have been impressed by Brad Smith, who I think is an Australian left back in the U18's. If anything in the last few years it seems to be the players that don't get talked about much that have come through (Robinson, Flannagan, Kelly) rather than those that were all hyped up (Ecclestone, Amoo, Pacheco, Nemeth). Maybe it's because we've been short in the full back area's that they have been given their chance, but maybe the pressure hasn't been on them to step up and have quietly got on with developing. I hope all ths hype with Sterling, Suso, Coady, Wisdom doesn't stop them making the grade.
well the ones you said were hyped up were all strikers/wingers whereas the oens that succeeded were defenders. I think its quite probable that the hype about them came up because they play in those positions, and people tend to see who scored or the highlights, but most people do not watch the games, hence do not know much about the defenders, so dont give as much thought to them, as you dont get the youtube clips of a good tackle or whatever.
