One small problem with this analysis - we've only exceeded 9 away wins ONCE since 2001/2

We've probably had more points than 35 at home though most seasons.

Only losing 4 away from home all season is a bit unrealistic though!

I can see us getting around 43/44pts at home, not sure about our away record though, it seems inconsistent at best.

43 away points has only ever been beaten 3 times since it became 38 games in a season

    Twice by Chelsea (44 pts 2008/9 - they were 3rd) (47 pts 2004/5 - they were champions)
Once by Arsenal (47 pts (2001/2 - they were champions [NOT the invincible season])

I fancy us to upset you a little on Saturday. You may well win, but certainly of the home games, Saturday will be the toughest.

West Brom are poor, they beat us (norwich) i know, but that was the only game this season where we haven't performed and they still struggled to take the points. The fact that it is away from home makes it a little tougher but you really need to beat teams like that (as do we!).

    We don't need telling!

You only have to look at a few of our results against newly promoted sides in the last few seasons to see how we fail to raise our game.

Wolves, Blackpool, Stoke, West Brom, Fulham, Portsmouth, Sunderland, Wigan.

These weren't all at Anfield but all the above have beaten us at least once in the last 2 seasons alone
