Rocket Swannie from the old 606 seems to think the new centre back will be Anton Ferdinand from Sunderland, for what its worth! I guess they have taken on the two Manure reserve CB's so he might be surplus to requirements.
interesting when some of the youngsters get squad numbers - may mean they will get a run out this season, perhaps reeves will as he has been around in pre season. punch was never gonna get a number and mills is expected to be off too. interesting dickson being moved all the way down from 5? but that must mainly be for a new CB like we all think. glad forte isnt 8 anymore, think its important that key players have the right numbers sometimes - unless they like their number which i think lala does!
I assume this mean's Stephens and Ward-Prowse will have a first team role this season which is brilliant although I'm surprised that as they are included that Luke Shaw didn't get the nod too but on the other hand I think he may be a year younger than the pair and may not be quite ready. Forte been knocked off the number 8 too for Cork. Can't wait to see them all in action.
I think he's just an outcast U21 now if im honest, he wasnt even getting in the Dagenham team when Pardew signed him :S
Good point I heard he was meant to go back on loan to Grays last year but never materialized. He might be in the squad for the U21's tonight? Is anyone going?
Good to see, will be good as an impact sub in League 2. That run and set-up for McGoldrick v Reading in '08 was class.
Also what happend to Sam Hoskins? he was the top scorer for the youth team. Looked a good player when ever I have seen him play.
