I seem to remember Brendan Rodgers moving very quickly to sign Danny Graham in the immediate aftermath of last seasons play off victory against Reading.

He signed him the following day,I think.

The season is now officially over, and I wonder how long we will have to wait for news of the first potential signing.

Could it be as soon as Monday, from one of the relegated P.L.Clubs, maybe?

Anyone got any hunches,or even better, definite info on any potential signings.

    Whittingham,anyone?

we know he is going to bring in 3-4 players in the summer, he has stated that we have been poor at finishing so i expect danny to be replaced by better. a couple of defenders (tall) and a beefy midfielder who can cope with the larger midfielders. we dont need to change much to strengthen for next season.....

A new striker is a must, a centre half is also a must but i have a feeling that Caulker may return for another loan spell.
I think we will be using the Dutch market to great effect and with micheal vorm and Gylfi coming out and saying they want to stay at Swansea it really does make us an attractive place to come and play :)

I think anything right now is just speculation. But Norway's point is dead right - I would hope that players would want to come here after seeing us do our thing this season.

Rodgers has already stated that he wants further options in the final third, with both wing and the striker role likely to be bolstered. Leroy Lita, Moore and Dobbie could be moved on to make room, The stock of Vorm, Williams and Allen, who have adapted magnificently to the huge demands of the Premier League has risen, so don't be surprised if we get teams coming in for them. On a side note, Swansea city's Spanish defender Angel Rangel could play for Wales in a sensational move which would be a first for British football, Wales boss Chris Coleman will pursue the matter on his return from the New York friendly with Mexico at the end of the month. Plenty of activity then going on for the No 1 team in Wales!.......... <cheers>

I don`t know if you saw Sport Wales on Friday, on there they said the £100 million included the £30 million they have already put in. It will probably also include the money they put in until this mess is sorted out, if ever.

I do feel sorry for the supporters having to put up with this abysmal cack handed profiteering bigotry, which I suppose started with Hamman. They ( the ting tings) made their money in Malaysia/China where the rules of etiquette are completely different to here. Personally, I think "The Red Dragons" has a nice ring to it.

I dont feel sorry for them at all! their fans are so wrapped up in having to have money to progress they have lost all track of what a football club should be about!

And dont forget, most of them enjoyed it when we were having our bad days, for ever reminding us hoe they put money in the bucket to save us !! thats the reason they want money now, it would kill them to go into admin just because they wouldnt even have that stick to beat us with either !!

We've just finished 11th in one of the top leagues in World football. It should now be easier to get good players especially with Vorm and the Sig saying they want to stay.

Personally I would love to see signing the Sig permanently our number 1 priority. We need two decent centre halves, centre forward and winger too.

Dragon sorry to burst your bubble but make that 10. By a whole goal.

Dont think Brendan will rush to sign this time. Last year we were 4 weeks behind everyone else as the pal off was late. But we know now where we will be playing next year. in fact he has known whch league for some time. I am sure there will be lots of twists and turns in the close season. I also expect a few surprises, along with the usual bullsh*t speculation.

Keeping our current team of starters together is the priority, but I imagine that just like last season, there will inevitably be one or two shock departures. The bonus this time around is that all our players are under contract, so if other teams want them, they're going to have to pay for them and, as we all know, HJ won't be letting them go on the cheap!

Can I see the quote you keep using Dai, where Rodgers said DG/we were poor at finishing?

Yes, BR said he'd like to see us improve our finishing but no where has he ever mentioned our top scorer as being the one we need to replace. I'm bored of explaining the difference between a center forward and a striker, but the difference is important, and DG is a truly excellent CF, and is in my top three players of the season.

The phrase "poor finishers" has never been used by Rodgers. FACT.

He has said we've been lacking a cutting edge in the final third. That's very different - and accurate. It includes a lack of speed in getting forward, allowing defences to regroup, as well as the lack of quality crosses, all of which have been pretty obvious if you watch our games.
