Email has come out from the club this afternoon to say new seating has been installed for all Paddock dwellers such as myself. The club has said season ticket holders will find their names have not been transferred to the new seating so seats will not have name labels on them for the remaining games of the season.
I sat in the upper loft for one match and couldn't believe the difference between there and the lower loft in terms of space and legroom. The lower loft is far better.
And in the rare time I've been down the School end, that's built for pygmies. Shocking lack of any room at all.
try being my size, I can't fit in any of the bloody seats! this new stadium had better have the vertically enhanced people in mind!
Exactly why I'm in the back row of the Loft, so I can stand the whole game, the way God intended football to be watched and the way to avoid deep vein thrombosis. Only problem is this tall bloke calls himself Roller keeps turning up reminding me how little I actually know about the club....
You need to try one of my seats inky. I've got the best legroom in the ground bar C club. No more fatigues for me. Other than watching whats going on on the pitch.
Can't be as bad as the away end at Luton. When a 12 year old is physically unable to sit down in a seat and the steward tells the 3 adults with him that are all 6'+ they have to sit down you know there's something wrong. Loftus Road isn't too bad in the home end. I've done upper loft and the stand to the right of the loft (as you're sat in the loft, I was sat opposite P,Q, and R blocks) and I was fine even being over 6 foot (I wasn't exactly carrying much weight/width with my height though which makes it easier). Away end isn't comfortable doing it though.
Is it meant to be all comfy and spacious though? I'm unusually tall (5'10""), and I'm alright with it. I went to the emirates for a cup game v Shrewsbury with a mate last season and whilst the stadium is undeniably superb, you've got so much room that you don't feel packed in and tight and something was lacking because of it. Strike a balance Tone, and anyway, there's got to be some disadvantages to being silly big.
