Tim Henderson please log in to view this image The EP has just reported that Tim Henderson from Burnley has been appointed to our backroom team, good to see we are improving our otherwise none existent scounting team. He's a former Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday chief scout, not sure whether this is of any significance, but it does seem we are starting to get professional in the backroom, and not before time either, but we have still a long way to go yet. Henderson stated to the EP that "Player acquisition is a critical part of any football club business and great emphasis is now being placed on the technology aspect of that process. Clubs are investing in high-tech databases and video analysis systems in order to make a far more sound and in-depth judgement when acquiring players. "As a club we are putting the infrastructure, technology and staffing in place with the foresight of both the chairman and manager. They both believe strongly in supporting Dave Leadbetter and the department to further enhance our player recruitment process in order to continue working diligently and to invest wisely." Henderson will join the club with immediate effect and work closely with manager Brendan Rodgers and chairman Huw Jenkins. HUW JENKINS "We are delighted Tim has joined us," said Jenkins. "He is an experienced and well organised professional who has excellent contacts throughout the game. "We have been looking to expand upon the technical aspect of recruitment at the club for some time. Tim specialises in this area and is the perfect fit." Let's hope he finds some gems such as Taylor and Allen, though I still feel we could be doing more to develop home grown Welsh lads, or don't we have them any more!
It was on the club site last night, we need quality scouts to further our ambitions of staying in the premier league. http://www.swanseacity.net/page/Latest/0,,10354~2776553,00.html
Well of course we do Valley, but we also need to think laterally as well, not sure we are doing any of that, though bringing in Taylor from Wrexham, does hold out some hope..............
Excuse my ignorance but who did he sign at Burnley? One assumes his record is good to get the job, but I really don't know.
He was instrumental in the signings of Danny Fox and Jack Cork but leaves following a re-shuffle of manager Eddie Howe’s backroom staff KJ..................
