There is a lot happening right now. Liverpool, Villa, West Brom are all without managers but the underlying point is that the plates are shifting. Liverpool and for that matter Villa are clubs on the slide. Leeds have long gone from the memory as top dogs, the Sheffield clubs are hopping between the Championship and Division 1 and other clubs like Arsenal are not really as competitve with the very top as they were say 5 seasons ago and missing out on the Champion's League altogether is not a far cry. All of this gives the rising clubs a chance - NCFC of course, Newcastle and Swansea and it is very refreshing. Next year there is a real possibility that Villa could be relegated and I think it is vital that the rising clubs hold on to their respective managers to maintain that continuity. It is looking more promising now that PL could well be staying and it would be great if we could just break into the next tier. Interesting times.
I agree wholeheartedly and I do feel that some of your prophecies could come true. Newcastle this season have surprised many people and hope they can hold on to their strike force for next season, so interesting times there. For us, we either need to hold on to PL (or trust DM has a suitable replacement ready to step in) and that we can get in 4 or 5 players 'to give the lads a hand'. Also that we let some others go or loan them out to Championship clubs - Ward and Barnett come to mind!!!!
A positive approach from supporters to match the positive approach on the pitch. Thats good value for a season ticket. Unlike the supporters of some of the said clubs in apparent decline who may be shatting themselves at the prospect facing them if they don't buck up their ideas.
