It looks likes we have our Fabs replacement, 27 year old Brazilan playmaker Jadson from Shakhtar Donetsk. Not really seen him but he must be decent if we've come in for him. He is a lot older than the usual signing which leads me to think that's it's for the short term. Wenger probably doesn't want to get into the way of Wlishere or Ramsey's development that he sees as Arsenal's future midfield.

he'll be direct competition with Ramsey for the playmaker spot if he does come in. he's short, which is a shame, but he's apparently decent, and has experience so he can be pure competition for places.

I worry about his name - its not racy enough. I would prefer if he were 6'7" and called Watchyourselfson...

  4. If he's in, does that mean Mata or even Hazard are not in the frame?

Guess we'll have to wait for the official announcement. Once again, I hope Arsene focuses on winning, defence and a Top Three finish this year.

Come to think of it, his name does sound very ordinary for a Brazilian. Let's just hope he doesn't play like our other Brazilian, who really is no frills!

Not so sure he'll bother with any more attacking players. This signing seems short term, just covering the hole left from Fabs until Ramsey steps it up. Also getting into the top 4 champions league is priority for Wenger.

    He's 28 and somewhat average.
(William is Shaktars best midfielder anyway)

Not as good as Nasri nowhere near the calibre of Fabregas.

27 years old and 4 caps for Brazil? Pffffft. I'm tired of us being linked with these tiny playmakers. I'm 99% sure this is pure paper garbage anyway but it's nowhere near the sort of signing I think we should be after.

Id be fairly sure we dont get Hazard in the near future - Mata we can still hope for [prays fervently]...

Good player from what I've heard... would either him or Willian, the Spuds are also in for Willian. We'll never really be able to replace Cesc in terms of quality though.

Is he better than Fabregas Yes or No?

If its a no then surely that's a step backwards?

Being a full Brazilian international isn't all that. Roque Junior or Julio Baptista anyone?! There are more too...

If it's true it seems that Wenger is 'cheapskating' again.
