worked in Turkey / Istanbul many times - I remember watching City lose to Chelsea 4 0 on a wide screen in a small bar on the bosphorus - dont think the locals had heard of Hull before the match - they certainly knew about them afterwards - used to stay at Ciragan Palace Hotel, remember one night when Turkey were playing Switzerland in the world cup - I think it was a two leg match and there had been quite a lot of trouble between the teams in Switzerland so the return leg was a real grudge match -I was in the hotel entrance doors as the Swiss team were heading off to the ground - huge police presence protecting them and manty fans had come to berate them - I was offered a ticket for the game but my host implored me not to go because it would be like a powder keg in the stadium so I watched the match in the bar instead
That’s a shame I know most players move towards end of window but it would be really helpful to get it done in time to buy whoever he thinks is needed. I know they’ll be discussing sales and purchases with the prospective owners, but I can’t see much actual buying done until it’s…done
