The time difference may help as you will be able to moderate when the others are asleep/unavailable. Obviously it's up to PNP and Spurf if they feel they need/want another moderator though but i'd be happy to see you as moderator.

Just one question, given you are on here at 10:20am UK time, what exactly are the restrictions of being in Oz?
Well HD with the time diff its very unlikely that I will be able to monitor anything from about midday to 6pm (UK time)- that's my sleeping time(except when Spurs are playing). Otherwise don't see a problem. Although April will be difficult as I will be in England in the Easter week (maybe catch up with some of you) and then 2 weeks in France & Italy- back to Oz end of the month. The clock changes will be a challenge as you put your forward this weekend and we put ours back the week after making it a 9 hour differential.
Exactly what does it involve? I'd be interested but spending my time between kent and Italy would make it difficult.

First let's thank KingHotspur for his work on the board he will be missed as a mod. but no doubt will still be busy as a poster. Cheers mate So! we need another moderator, is it you? The present moderators PleaseNotPoll and Spurf would like this selection to be as democratic as possible and we want to make sure that he is chosen by Spurs supporters on the board. We propose to hold the vote by Private Messaging thereby avoiding posters from other clubs skewing the result. First we need to know who is interested so please send a private message to PleaseNotPoll & Spurf if you are. We will then publish a list for everyone to choose from. Voting will again be by private messaging to us. You can of course make your case on here if you wish, but posting history will influence most voters. One Pace Forward............STEP!
I'd like to echo Spurf's thanks for King. Cheers for everything you've done for the board. I'm sure that the regulars will have noticed that we favour a pretty open and accessible board. Alternative and unpopular opinions are welcomed, as they stimulate debate. Personal abuse, thread derailment, repeats of similar articles and obvious WUMing are all that really need to be dealt with, for the most part. Communication between mods is also extremely important. Please bear all of this in mind when considering whether you fancy becoming the latest punching bag for the board!
Will the UN be sending an envoy to check the validity of this vote? If not, PM me when you've set up an account in Monaco and we can get this "democratic" election started
Thanks for the vote of confidence, PESKIE Although our board, as a general rule, regulates itself, given the nature of most of the partisan posters, I reckon it's still a pretty unenviable job. In all honesty, it's not one that I think I would ever want, as I enjoy the banter with rival fans far too much. I think you've done a marvelous job, King Hotspur, but I thoroughly understand your desire to get back into the fray, and not have to worry about how it affects your mod-ship. Welcome back to the ranks, and good luck to whoever takes your place. Who ever it is will get my whole-hearted support.
To be frank with you, Spurf, I'll support whoever replaces King Hotspur as mod. Whilst there are a couple of posters on this board who tend not to "get" my sense of humour, and who probably heave a very heavy sigh of exasperation when ever I make a thread, I can honestly say that there is no genuine Spurs supporting member of this forum who I dislike. And I'd trust any of my fellow rank and file members to moderate in the same even-handed manner that typified King Hotspur's approach.
