Without Northolt about, we've no choice but to create a new era on this board of ours. Some of you have already called for a replacement mod to give us more coverage in terms of hours in the day / week. Our supermod, Cyprus Syd, has assured us that regardless of any new appointment, Northolt's place as mod will be kept open for him (and us) should he decide to return to the fold. Until that time, it's down to every one of us to assist in creating a new era on here and make it as enjoyable a fraternity as it was under North. Having considered various options I decided to offer the available QPR board mod job to Goldhawk and mercifully he has accepted. Why Goldie? Because whilst he's a member who reads more than he writes, his overall judgement and senses of rule and purpose are closely akin to my own. This implies continuity with virtually no need for training and prep on light touch moderating. In Goldie I'm confident of both impartiality and the making of similar types of decisions with or without consultation with yours truly. The only thing he will need is to know how the mod buttons work which we'll have to sort out as we go. All I ask is that you respect my choice and allow him the time to bed in. Thereafter I'm sure you will agree, if you don't already know, that Goldhawk's quality invariably speaks for itself.
Thanks for the good wishes, guys. I'll do my best to be of help to Brix. He and Northolt have done an amazing job so far, and I'm just sorry that we've lost Northolt because he and Brix complimented each other so well.
