http://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/premier-league-gossip/story-29421460-detail/story.html Stoke Sentinel talking about Zenga as possible Saints manager. Says that it means we'd keep our hands off Mark Hughes....think you are quite safe, lads.
I think its a case of Chinese Whispers and someone passed a message along that Pellegrini was seen at St Marys wearing a Zegna suit and by the time it got to the rag that is the Sun the story had changed to someone saw Zenga at St Marys in a Suit and as usual the Sun did their checking (asking the same person "Are you Sure") and then ran with the story. please log in to view this image http://store.zegna.com/gb/men/blaze...and&tp=97095&gclid=CJry4IKkts0CFfYy0wod5QkGMA
As much as I want the new man to be announced yesterday, I love the rumour and counter rumour that is pulling more names out of thin air, than a magician pulls rabbits from a hat. But what I most enjoy is the professionalism of the club. They just get on with things, in a private way, working their way through their list of managers, that they are considering. I'm not bothered by the "But he's not our first choice" comments, that surface, because a manager who looks good from a distance, may not be the perfect fit, once you have sat him down and discussed how he sees the future of the club, and his role within it. I'm glad we are taking our time, because I don't want Les making a "beer goggles" type of decision, then wake up the next morning regretting it.
The thing I'm finding interesting is the betting. As soon as someone is mentioned people pile money on them only for a day later it to be someone else who is in the frame. The process then gets repeated. Is it the same people wasting their money or different ones and how many times are they prepared to do this? Is the thought that eventually they will win back all they've lost?
I nearly started a thread on betting. In the end I chose not to because I don't bet apart from very rare occasions and therefore I felt it wasn't right to comment, however the more I read just on this forum, the more I worry about the amount of money people lose on gambling. It is their money in the end, which is why I decided not to post. *waits all the "I'm about even" posts*
I don't bet myself, but watching the way the way that they odds have been jumping around you can certainly see that the Bookies always win!
In 1957 I put a shilling each way on a horse running at 4 to 1. It came in well down the field and I lost my money. That cured me of gambling for ever.
I don't either but I do watch the odds for things like this just to try to get some idea......not working this time! The bookies are definitely the winners. I have noted that a lot of people on here lose judging by what they post. Multiply that up and you can understand why you never see a poor bookie.
I put £50.00 on Moyes being manager ( last time ) Never again . Only other time I have betted in my life was MANY years ago on the Grand National . Lovely Looking Dapple Grey , had to be put down on the first Lap :-(
