Whoever comes in will have to make some ground rules or be prepared to take orders from above. We need the former, someone who is strong from the get go.
It is not difficult to pick the team we started with and let them finish the game I could train a monkey to do that. Tan kept telling Malky to go for a more attacking style but he would not listen. How can anyone keep Noone, Kim or Frazier on the bench at any point in time. Not playing the right players cost managers jobs as with AVB at Spurs. Gary Hooper a proven goalscorer was taken off in a recent match when the team was losing and that got the fans booing...one wonders whether fans should have electronic push buttons to tell managers what to do never mind the owners. jck
How do you know that? If I recall correctly it was only recently that a meeting was called to sort out the interference issue, but the die was already cast at that point, so the end was inevitable regardless of anything said at that meeting, to which I wasn't privy, were you?
OGS is hardening in the betting market( expect comebacks from that) now 1/3, something is in the air. Sven and co are moving out.
Tan told Malky he wanted a more attacking formation ... Malkys reply came in the game against Southampton. There is bad news that Hoddle has appeared in the betting that is a real worry to me despite what others might think. By the way who we want as our manager is nothing to do with fans from other clubs. jck
Hoddle is an excellent football man who was mauled and trialled by media. Why would his appointment worry you so much. Many at Spurs would welcome him.
Glam this is opinion and mine is I don`t want this guy anywhere near our club. I can see many would be ok with him I do not rate him at all. jck
Hoddle was a brilliant player but could be lazy at times. As a manager his stats are not do bad but did he not have some type of breakdown ? Was it something to do with crystals and superstition ?
Found it now... Hoddle had a "controversial belief that the disabled, and others, are being punished for sins in a former life"
I like ole `s tactics I want this man mr tan please.
Not sure about OGS but would love to see El Loco at the club if only for the formation he would play.
To be honest I would go for Hoddle before OGS. Hoddle knows the game here, I don't think OGS does to the same extent. Hoddle has managed at the highest level and is not a mercenary like Sven. Remember the original quote attributed to Dalman that we were after a household name not working in UK at present. My first thought was Avram Grant but Hoddle fits the bill also.
I agree, Hoddle is a football man through and through, politics and an alternative view got him the shove from the England job.
Simple really, because Malky wouldn't back down and bend to Tan's will. Tan is looking for a jumped up yes man to work with players with a certain number in their birth date. Surely any suggestions on transfers shouldn't be discussed until a new manager is in place, which suggests that Tan is looking for a puppet to manage for him, and someone who won't challenge him.
