    New bloody awful name.
    Capital One Cup?
    Sounds like one of those awful pre-season tournaments where a Premier League team plays a bunch of minor Asian national sides, like Hong Kong.

    Cheapens the brand of both the trophy and the company.
    Very stupid.

    It will probably be shortened to the One Cup.

    As in, that one cup that nobody gives a f*ck about unless they win it.

    Seriously though, everyone will probably just return to calling it the League Cup now. I used to call it the League Cup in the Worthington Days, but I thought the Carling Cup actually had a decent sound to it.

    To be honest I thought this thread was going to be about us getting another seperate sponsor for the League Cup.

    Anyone else spot a problem with the initials for the Capital One Cup Knockout rounds?

    talking about Arsenal and trophies...there is an article by a Southampton fan on their board which says that they have been invited to take part in an annual tournament at St Marys this year..and the Goons are getting excited about ending their trophy drought over it <laugh>
