I quite like it, simple. And about teams changing kits every year, to be honest it doesn't really bother me. I can understand why some parents would be a bit upset by it etc but for an adult buying it them selves I can't see the fuss. The cost of an average night out is about £60. The cost of an average game for X-Box or PS3 is £40 to £50. I'm sure most of the people who complain about it have many nights out at that price and buy more than 2 games a year. It's a once a year cost. Works out at about £5 a month, it's not really all that much when you think about it. Especially if you look at places like Australia, their official replica kits are more like £90/£100 after conversions.
The PL guidelines say it should be changed no more than once every two years, but everyone ignores them. They can make more money out of the donkeys who believe they somehow aren't genuine fans if they haven't bought a new kit within minutes of it being released. I did the same, tho' I bought mine for a fiver from a market in Bangkok so I doubt it was entirely genuine! The Vodafone kit was awesome for trekking as it had very breathable fabric which was vital in 30 degree heat and jungle humidity. Also I was 22 at the time so I feel it was excusable to wear a footy kit as normal clothing To be honest if the parents have a problem with it they should just not ****ing buy it for their kids. Stop spoiling the little brats - my daughter came out of her dance class last night and one of the kids was pestering her mum to take her to the ice cream shop again, having already bought an ice cream minutes before the class. I think the mum gave in to her in the end
It`s not tartan, it`s gingham, a pattern and weave that originated in the Manchester cotton mills inthe 1800s. That is why Nike used it.
Tends to be how it happens Dave. truth is the United one was probably designed first, alongside barcelona we are their biggest clients
Probably the other way round tbh - the kit was designed as a new concept and they decided to test it out with the smaller England market. It went down well there so they've rolled it out to the bigger market. It'd be pretty foolish to put out a completely new shirt for a massive market like Utd without testing it first.
