I noticed by looking at some of the pictures from the first pre season game that the new design of the kit seems to place a shirt number on the front with the sponsor placed on the back where the players name usually occupy. Does anyone know if this is the finished design or if it is simply a place holder? I'm all for invitation but as it stands they look a bit cheap and nasty. I remember when they were modelled at the player of the year dinner the kit looked quite different with the sponsor on the front with some other tweaks? Anyway I know it's a minor issue but just wondering as right now the kits look to be a cross between training wear and 80's cast offs!
I don't know but i saw several people on twitter saying it was the training kit?....as i say i don't know but just comments i saw. As for the kit itself...not too bad but every time i look at it i think Crystal Palace. Just the design stripe more than similarity.
Judging by the photo on the kentonline match report of Dack (with Kedwell in the b/g) this is the training kit that they were playing in, the actual kit has a collar. I'm not too keen on the kit as I thought the material felt cheap with the old gills leisure kits, I had hoped that Scally had located an improved vendor but that remains to be answered. I think the stripe is a bit amateur and it looked like a knock off t-shirt you'd find at a market on that poor cheerleader at the POTY meal. Still, if not going with someone else has freed up cash for transfers and wages then it's fine by me. I'll just stick to my Vandanel. http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kent/sport/folkestone-v-gills-20082/?
Looked like the real kit they were playing in. I saw the advertising on the back where the name should be and seems weird. I for one hope that changes, dont think the names being printed on the bottom of the shirts would look great..
