We'll have to wait and see till the end of the season but it seems to be a new era on the pitch. Gone are the days of playing like champions one week defeating top quallity opponents and then shipping 5 away to relegation fodder (Barnsley, Birmingham ect) I suspect. The start of consistency on the pitch me thinks, Our lack of consistency practically destroyed any chance of a play off push in the last few seasons. Can only be positive. On another note was having a read through One Boro the Middlesbrough fans forum and their fans are delusional. Seem to think that 3 million is a laugh for Ross and that he would rather go to them because they are 'better equipped for a promotion push' and that we are a 'selling club'. One lad saying we are always tipped for promotion and fail...I'm sorry but I've never seen us tipped for promotion but the pundits are always giving us 'Boro looking to get back up wouldn't be surprised to see em in the top 6' and how many times have Boro got into the play offs big fat zero since relegation. Someone needs to tell em we are a very difference club from that under bates (feel free, I can't be arrsed signing up just to give a dose of reality to some delusional Smoggies).
It's probably understandable they think they can get their hands on Ross cos nobody has told them to **** off. Mcd told them they can keep making offers but won't matter, Ross says he wants to stay but depends on the owners and the owners have said nothing. A clear statement from owners stating he's not for sale and offer him an improved contract would settle the whole matter. Next two games will probably give a clear indication if we're improving. Ipswich and qpr will need to yield four points if were promotion material. Anything less, it'll be a repeat of last season. Hope standards improve a little as last two games were painful to watch
I just wish Boro fans wouldn't go to their home games dressed up as an empty seat, after all that's all I ever see at the Riverside, rows and rows of red empty seats. No atmosphere, no fans, no passion, why would any player want to go there?
Bang on. I remember one of their own players saying how he used to go watch reserve games as a lad and the crowd at the Riverside was just as quiet and empty as the reserve games. That's a serious low your own players complaining about attendance and atmosphere...ouch.
Riverside sucks ... always half empty and fcuking freezing ... what a rubbish place to play your football. When Steve Gibson packs it in and takes his money away Boro are going to sink like a stone!!!
3 games in pal. Hold your horses. Remember we only conceded 1 goal in Warnock's first 3 games in charge, then went on to ship 7 at home.
