Brucey is apparently meeting his agent on Monday, for talks about a new deal. I'm a bit surprised he's involved, I thought this would be Ehab's department. Or we could put Assem in charge, though he probably try and get him to sign an extended contract on reduced terms.
After the **** Mcshane's getting on the other thread. I expect all of the team should be playing for ten bob and a pickled egg, no more no less. Ungrateful ****s the lot of them, dont know how lucky they are etc
Good news, hope he signs a good contract and is here for years to come. If we get promoted, given the ageing England squad and call ups of players who were reserves just 2 seasons ago (Oxlade Chamberlain, Fraizer Campbell, Jack Butland, Steven Caulker and Daniel Sturridge to name but a few.), I wouldn't be surprised to see him up there in a few years time.
10 bob AND a pickled egg!! The pickled egg should be a bonus if they score or we get promoted. Greedy bastards.
I suspect he'll be gone in the summer anyway if we don't go up - there is sure to be demand from Premier clubs, and he'll be at that "now or never" point.
Not tall enough for PL or National side as a Centre Back Don't be surprised to see him convert into holding midfield. Sometimes when he moves forward with the ball he reminds me of Bryan Robson.
Whilst Chester's height is something I regularly comment on, isn't he taller than the Italian World Cup Winning captain and centre back Fabio Cannavaro?
He's a lot better than some people give him credit for. Pains me to say it but e should be in the premier league now and if he gets an offer he should go. There's ony so much he can learn in this league and playing against world class players at the highest level of the game is what he needs to improve now. Maybe he's only playing in the championship because of what he's worth to us and the price we've asked. I know for a fact David notes has been to watch him in person in the past, and he sure knows a decent larker hen he sees one.
Everton have definitely been keen in the past, and he is a similar player to Jagielka, who'd had injuries, has turned 30 and won't be getting any faster. And with a name like David Notes, he should be able to make a tempting offer...
