Yeah, was saying this earlier he should be captain. As for Lascelles, the fact he's played Premiership football is a big enough token gesture
Lascelles will remain captain till the summer in name, he just won't get a game and Trippier and Wilson will do those duties on a match day
That's fine by me, he's welcome to do his clapping, pointing and fistbumping as much as he likes aslong as he's not on the pitch
And he should be. I don’t think it’s good form to change that. He just needs to either up his game or accept he’s on the bench.
There's a few are going to need to up their game if they want some time on the pitch, but hopefully a few will and it will be an added bonus.

Makes no difference who's captain with an armband, you need leaders everywhere. We've got nobody leading this team, it's how Ritchie has conned a living for so long, it's the only thing he sort of does. Fede's the closest we've got to an actual leader, which says it all.
