I had a 3 litre Capri when I was a mere yoot. It was a complete fanny magnet in those far off days. Mines was a Ghia though - Bodie and Doyle drove an 'S'. I have a 4.6 litre truck at the moment (I live in Texas natch), I get about 12 miles to the gallon and it's HURTING my wallet. I still like to watch The Professionals when I am back Watfordside (thanks UK Gold). Quite a few scenes were filmed locally and it brings back some memories.
Great response - and that is why this site is so successful - adult responses to adult comments. I don't know if any of you look at some of the Prem Boards but they make me cringe
I must admit, I am a bit of a 'lurker' on the other boards, and some seem to think it's just a good opportunity to WUM and swear, so don't go round the boards like I did on 606.... it is nice we have a much mature board on here and don't get a great deal of that!
If we did then Kev ,then our members would sort out the problem ,or we would wheel Uncle Leo into the fray, or failing that there is the ignore switch!!! If only we would have had that feature on the old 606 when Zero was in town!!
LB - You made a valid point and I am as guilty as Norway on this. But if we get into the habit of getting back on topic then it will all work OK. I agree with the above, a white away-kit is a complete no-no..
I think its a 2 yr deal with the shirt supplier/manufacturer , but clubs change the design each season to generate more revenue! Some prem teams sometime have a change in mid season especially with away shirts!
It was stated in the contract that there would be a new shirt this season... It's a little annoying as I think this was the first opportunity for a while where we could have kept the same kit. It always seemed to be a new kit supplier or new sponsor, but we finally have a deal for both for 2 years and they still stipulate 2 new kits for each season... guess it's just all about money!!
YOu would think in this recession they would give us a break and try to leave a little money in our pockets to attend matches
No Leo your expected to go to those as well!!! and pay for your programme and drink your coffee and eat your hot dog,all in a current replica shirt!
Don't get me started about the cost of programmes - I would turn into a grumpy old man (turn into ?? )
Ye sbut half is adverts and do you want it? No - a good excuse to make money as they know we will all buy them
Nope - but when I was a season ticket holder I read very little of the programme - how much do you read?
Read the words of it since I got back , article on yellow order ,From the rookery end a Historical thing plus the usual bits you expect to find , I thought it was quite good actually , considering the money you pay at other clubs and get a leaflet back!!
