Great news about Neil Taylor. It will be great to have him back in the squad next season. I personally think he was one of our best players last season. It's going to be hard to choose him and Davies that's for sure!

We don't choose necessarily. We see how well Neil and Ben can adapt to other roles / positions and let them develop. They are both too good not to play regularly.

If we should qualify for Europe there will be way to many games for one player. It's gonna be two games each week all year and we'll need two players in each posision for them not to be jaded..

Does anyone know if either is versatile and can play elsewhere? Although we've looked dodgy down that side at times this season and I've lost count of the number of times Davies has lost his man or failed in preventing crosses he's improving every game and it would be very harsh to drop him on Taylor's return.

Kj, you Are spot on about ben .defending Crosses is still his weak point and earlier in the season i felt he should have been given a break so he could maybe take some pressure off himself and learn from the sidelines, laudrup thought differently though and he proved to be correct yet again ! Ben is learning from his mistakes and i Think we can all see him growing each game he plays, it takes alot of confidence as a manager to stick with a young player like that but credit to laudrup,he has grown us another welsh international and an extra top level defender.

I Think maybe in the future ben could move into centre half, he is going to be a lump of a boy in a few years and wont be moved about so easily in the area, still needs to learn the dark arts of defending but has massive potential.

Rangel is getting older as well so maybe one of them could switch to the other side ?

Neil has shown in the olympics that he can play right back. Ben is could move inside. There are lots of options for both and room for both in the squad. We're going to some of the best full backs in the league in another season or two.

That's good news. But keeping players is our problem. This is why winning the Cup could be a real bonus for us because I believe we'll get a Euro spot. Not everybody's cup of tea (excuse the pun) but offering Euro football, even non-Champion's League, is a draw for players.

Just got to beat the European Champion's first! <yikes>
