To be honest, i am suprised that hes gone for Lowton cause he was originally wanting Clyne who he wanted to bring to us. As expected, money seems to be a problem up there but not only fees but wages aswell for incoming players. He has signed a decent player though.

As for Naughton, hes off to QPR supposedly. I dont think CH would be interested tbh either!

agree about lowton/clyne. i think lowton would have benefited from a year in the championship - i'm not totally convinced he'll be premier league class, at least, not yet. very promising player though and having said that, he'll still be better than alan hutton!

i'd like to see us grab clyne if naughton proves impossible.

Lambert will have seen something in Lowton, we know him to well, his signings might look strange at times but if any one knows that he's rarely wrong about a player it should be us.
That said I wouldn't mind seeing Clyne at norwich but i doubt we'll be in for him or Naughton now Whitaker has signed, unless he's going to be a back up right back with Martin moving permanently to CB hopefully to replace Barnett. We should focus on the fact that we now have only 1 LB on our books

Agree about the full backs. I expect Tierney and Whittaker to be starters but I don't think Martin is quite good enough as a Prem right back. I think he is a model CB but I just think his distribution is limited. And we are left with the King of Spain as back up left back.

I assumed Whittaker signing for us would mean the end to the this Naughton fiasco.

I have a feeling Naughton will be sticking around at Spurs now Corluka's gone. A loan for Adam Smith to Norwich could be beneficial though?

I would snap your hand off for Naughton or Clyne. Or both, one as a RB one as a LB. Has anyone signed Adrian Mariappa? I like him too as a CB option.

Doubt that Spurs will want to sell Naughton although we maybe able to get him on loan for another season.

What about Jack Hunt from Huddersfield, I was impressed with him last season. He's quick and gets forward whenever there's and opportunity to do so. I personally thought he was better than Lowton last season.
