Ok what do we all think of ourselves as? Scottish, English, Welsh, Irish, British?

I know I say I have no nationality and I do truly mean that. Causes far too many problems. In Aberdeen we have had people being attacked just because they are English.

I was born in Crawley to Aberdonian parents so I spoose I could be English, Scottish or British.

But I sincerely believe in having no nationality.

Outside of this place I am actually quite an easy going and affable and friendly type of chap who speaks to anyone, no matter what nationality they are and it's better that way, for me anyway.

Good Night and may your God go with you.

(Unless you're an athiest, or a believer in the Big Bang Theory or Aliens, no offence intended)

    I'm Jockish and Bri'ish.

My ancestroy is as rich and diverse as this great nation, I have Spanish, English even Rajistani heritage.

Plus I've ****ed in many nations from Mexico to Germany, Ottomanshire to Egypt, which is a true measure of your humanity.

It's all about where you've left your DNA which then intertwines with that rich tapestry of life which in turn starts the cycle of creation.

Parents are Irish but I was born in Watford so I consider myself to be Hertfordshirian - or British.

Internationalist... until people start engaging in general small minded bawbaggery and burn buses down my street, then I revert to super Irish Republican Nationalist.

I'm English 1st, British 2nd. Three grandparents born in London, and one a frog, god bless her.

I live in one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world and couldn't really give a **** where you come from, I'll take you as I find. However, I do get pissed off when self appointed spokesman for assorted wogs (who begin at Calais) start blaming the English for everything from slavery and the potato famine to global warming and the drug trade. So don't start with the ancient enmity ****, I really don't want to hear about how Oliver Cromwell stole your land.

Archers - I don't blame the English for the potato famine - we all know your great great grandfather was single handedly responsible so it's not fair to slate an entire nation for it <ok>

Do you change your nationality when it's the Irish republicans burning cars/buses down the end of your street?

    I'm Northern Irish and British.

Ancestry is Northern Irish and Scottish.

    Yes.

I hate flags and I hate people putting them up lamp posts and I often rant about people leaving their homes to go shake their fists in fury and burn buses because Orangemen are walking somewhere close to their street - not because I like or agree with Orangism, but because two bits of stupid don't make a smart.

English all the way back 250 years on both sides as far as I know. How exciting and boring at the same time.

Paternal grandmother born in Sunderland which for a Geordie and Newcastle supporter is worthy of execution <wah>

From time to time I think about tracing my family tree but then I remember that I canny be bothered.

But anyhoo, as per the OP: am Scottish and British - so my documents say. I do quite like being Scottish. We get to wear skirts in public and nobody is surprised when we drink far too much and fall down.
