Yes that would have been the gentlemanly way. After all he will presumably be in some sort of line up against us... unless of course the terms of the sale means he isn't allowed to play against us when the clubs meet
He is a bit cocky/cheeky from what I remember of "beef" he had when he went to play for France, he had beef with Henry and Gallas, he probably thinks he is a hard man, grew up on the streets of Marseille, had to fight to survive, doesn't give a monkeys about reputations, says what he feels.
Elvis, I think you're missing the point. He's jumped ship for more money, is happy to sit on the bench at eastlands and pocket his £180,000 a week whereas at arsenal he could have had £90,000 a week (A liveable salary, I'm sure) and been guaranteed first team football, Grimandi said when he scouted him that he has the potential to be the best in the world, however he will never achieve that sitting on the bench. Surely as a footballer the ultimate dream must be to be remembered as one of the greats, players like Messi, Ronaldo, Henry e.t.c will be remembered for decades. Nasri obviously would rather have an obscene, unspendable amount of money in his bank account, ok fine but at least admit it, don't blame the fans for your departure. The lad says we gooners aren't passionate yet his twitter account is named after the song we invented for him, and he complained last week about the song sung at Newcastle about him. Surely if anything this shows passion? The empty seats at the eastlands, and a club that has to advertise season tickets on the sides of buses will let him know what real passion is I'm sure.
Alan suger once said ``footballers are the lowest of the low`` 95% of the time it,s probaly true. I think nasri wants medals as much as money but he should have a bit more resect for the fans who paid his wages the last couple of years. he,s gone right down in my estimation.
if he is on £180k a week, and arsenal offered to raise his wage to £90k a week, then you can understand why he's gone. but to then bullshlt the fans about why he's come for the great support and so on takes all fans for mugs. they then proceed to say its not about the money but a football decision. if thats the case then why dont man city take a more hardline approach of 'here's £120k a week, take it or leave it'. no way would nasri get £140k anywhere else let alone £180k so why do city need to pay so much over the odds? same for mata who claimed he went to chelsea for non financial reasons. if thats so then why didnt chelsea reduce their offer to the same level as spurs offered, saving themselves some money?
Got to agree with this .. Emirates Arsenal fans make me sick. I hate seeing them on their way, in their retro trainers and retro Arsenal tops .. as if that is a symbol of long time Arsenal admiration .. then they open their gob and you think "arse" !
I always wear an Arsenal top to the game.I shall be wearing my new blue one at Old Trafford on Sunday
Twelve Pins ... you must be one of the numpties I am talking about at the Emirates. Oh to have the real fans back !!!
The fans I used to stand with in the clock End at Highbury making noise with. Ok they are not an accurate representation of real fans, it takes all sorts, but you know what I mean. The fans that go to away games who sing non stop .. they are real fans. for me football is about making noise, I shout, I sing, I am passionate. this is what is missing at the Emirates, we have been spoiled, we sit there waiting for things to happen .. the atmosphere is dead.
At least i pass your definition of a real fan Fair play though there are still tens of thousands of real fans at the Emirates
Arsenal fans are always in good voice when they visit the Brit with some good and original songs and to be totally honest without sounding like a kiss ass man City are probably the worst. They are silent until they score and then we get the robbed poznan dance and the robbed Crewe's Blue Moon song. Man City **** fans in my book !
Saw on SSN he'd made a quite provocative comment in saying part of the reason he'd moved to Citeh is because they have more passionate fans! What do you Gooners make of this comment? Both been the same in my opinion whenever at our ground, maybe Arsenal edging it because obviously it's not only a local rivalry but a title one too (over the years)
