By 'clarification', they mean 'completely change'.

    A thundering disgrace.

Great decision to stop the cheating, well done GAA and I don't just mean on Nash's penalty, I mean no player should be allowed advance that far. You don't see soccer player's scooping it up from 12 yards to get into 6 yards out. A penalty is awarded on the 21 yard line and that's where it should be struck.

    There was no cheating.

What Nash did was 100% within the rule book.

What O'Keefe did was cheating and the ref made it up as he went along.

The rule is there now and at least it defines it better. A 21 yard penalty is a 21 yard penalty not a 14 yard penalty. Well done GAA <applause>

Don't get me wrong here RB, I've nothing against Nash and the way he hits it, several before have done so I'm just glad the grey area is gone, It's hard to know what's right, but I just feel if a penalty is placed on the 21 it should be hit there. I think a good striker of a ball would still have a huge advantage getting a free shot from there with 3 on the line as Horgan proved Sunday.

The GAA are messing around a lot lately but the modern game is developing so quickly they have to adapt to new levels of skill and thought processes. The black card is another strange one, I notice even in my own games the refs are very wary of using it and just opt for the yellow still. It's hard for everyone to agree, the main thing is they find common ground soon because it's taking away from the good stuff on the pitch most weekends.

I'm not going to lie and say I'm happy with the rule change but I could live with it if they'd change the rule at the right time.

They didn't change it when they should and are now responding mid season. The process they have followed here is deeply inappropriate imo and sets a poor precedent.
