I know i'm going on a bit but i don't care if we battered them or were ****e all game, 0-1 at home to cambridge is one of the worst results in the club's history, i couldn't care less how the performance was.

I'm starting to think I view stuff differently from a lot of others and wonder if its me that's bonkers or them.

The game started, we were in control, we seemed to play better, pass better in midfield, we won challenges in midfield and I didn't think Shelvey was that poor. I thought Longstaff was crap - the lad can't do any of the basics, we created chances on the wings but the problem was ASM was always either on the wing with the ****ing wingers or he was way to deep to convert the chances that the wingers were whipping into the 6 yard box. The more it continued the more obvious it was becoming of what was going to happen and I expected Howe to change it at half time and point it out to them - after all if my 7 year old can spot it, how can't Howe?

If he can just keep us up we can all put this season behind us, and we can see what he can do with more of his own players, we somehow still have a decent chance of doing it.

I didn't watch the game and went mainly by comments on here and on the text service, but I suspect if we had even a fairly **** striker on the pitch one of our chances would have gone in.

The problem with going by what fans say is that we all have preconceptions about certain players and it is impossible to remove those biases when watching. We see what we want to see. What you saw may well be right.

Even Riviere on the pitch would probably have been better than no striker.

Ok, maybe I have taken it too far! <laugh>

I sit in the 6th row of the leazes, im right behind the centre of the nets, so the majority of stuff I see is at ground level and at the Leazes, my view of the Gallowgate isn't great due to my position in the ground, but first half, if Gayle or Wilson had been playing we would have been out of sight.

She actually burst out laughing, by then it had happened several times including telling their keeper what I thought on several occasions.

I’ve said my bit on the match day thread and I don’t think I got much support from many but it appears the consensus on this thread is the same as my feelings.

Howe needs results now and he needs them
Quick and all this rubbish about “we have improved” is a load of utter bollocks because if the players body language post match is anything to go by then things have certainly NOT improved.

    Some players have gone backwards.

Howe was living on borrowed time.

Todays result highlights how ignorant he can be.

It wouldn’t surprise me if there is a clic and that they are jealous their little band of ****ers is about to be broken up because they have had it too ****ing easy for 4/5 years.

My opinion is you back anyone from the outset unless you start to seeing worrying signs and mistakes.

And we are seeing them now.

Some players are not responding to him.

    Some have downed tools.

It’s a results game not an “improvement” game right now given the precarious position we are in.

The damage this result could do is huge.

Well you see the issue is this.

    ASM isn’t a striker.
    Ritchie isn’t a left back.
    Joelinton isn’t a CM.
    Murphy isn’t a LW.
    manquillo isn’t a left back.
    Krafth isn’t a centre back.

And that’s where those players played.

    Problem being is
    we have NO fit striker
We have NO fit left back

Due to this out LW (of sorts) is playing striker so our back up RW is playing at LW.
We can't blame Howe for Ritchie about LB; both Bruce and Rafa played him there.
    Krafth > Lascelles/Clark
Joelinton at CM > Joelinton anywhere else
