much my sentiments (3.98) I have already said my peace about N'Doye several, several times. He is, quite frankly, one of the worst players I have seen play for Sunderland. He is down there with the likes of recent flops Danny Graham and Jozy Altidore, although I swear blind I would take Jozy over him any day. He literally brings absolutely nothing to the table. His first touch is suspect, he is not quick, he cannot tackle (as he displayed so pathetically in the build up to the equaliser) and the myth that he is a target man is blown out of the water when you consider he is probably less likely to win a header than Jermain Defoe. The only surprising thing about N'Doye bringing up the rear in the ratings once more is that he managed to get a rating of 3.98. As you have probably gathered, he received a 1 from me. What do you think
Had a good game vs Man Utd and ever since he's been poor. Doesn't help that he's a target man being played on the wing most of the time.
Don't know about that I know he's been played out of possition but is he any better than who he replaced
More to the point mate is would be better paying in the position he`s supposed to be in? If so then he should be played in that position. If that position is not available, then he`s surplus to requirements. Unless he`s a stopgap until the end of the season I can`t see the point really.
That`s the only reason I can think of tbh. Doesn`t bring much to the table imo unless I`m missing something.
Ok he's my take on it. Big Sam worked wonders in the transfer market in January. Probably the first time for a long time we had a decent one. Not only did we bring in some good players but he shipped a lot of the **** out. He moved on Graham and Fletcher so he thought he would see Ellis about a goal scorer. He walked in the boardroom and there was Ellis knocking back a hell of a lot of whiskey's moaning to himself saying why I spent 24 million on Altidore, Graham and Fletcher half a dozen goals over a few seasons. Big Sam thought there's no way he's going to cough up another 10 million for a striker who may keep us up but took the other approach....I will get you a guy who's free that may get us some goals. He's got us one already but the lad clearly not fit is being played out on the wing. Has he cost some goals defensively like last week....certainly...but for ****s sake the lad is mainly a center forward. Big Sam is trying to do the best he can and get Ellis on board and out of the whiskey bottle.....sad thing in reality is that if we brought in a top quality striker we would have probably scored that second goal in the last two matches we needed.....but on the other hand who was going to come in January where we were in league. The thing with N'Doye is that he is only one loan till the end of the season.....let's keep things in perspective here.....
He was never going to set the heather alight plus he is playing out of position. I thought it was an odd signing but I believe Sam has been after him a while.
Hes been poor but i dont think you can blame the lad. Hes trying his best playing in a position thats totally unknown to him. Its like playing Adebayor on the wing .
He's ****ing gash - utter ****. I'd rather put a one legged player on the pitch. I've seen better on a Sunda morning.
I think I read something when he first joined about having an automatic transfer clause (like Alvarez), which is ****ing worrying if true. Don't understand why we put these clauses in...
Maybe BSA spoke to his pal who recommended him - as you say a stopgap but he's playing where no gaps exist - a sqare peg in a round hole -
Don't they have to put a clause into overseas loans? Doesn't mean they have to be activated though, unless of x amount of appearances or whatever. Unless they've installed a permanent clause. Nee idea.
I thought I read it was an enforced purchase, as seems to be the case with Alvarez. Can't find any reference to it with a quick google search though so maybe I made it up...
He's not a wide player. I'll judge if he gets a spell in his own position. So far he's played in his own position once. Hate players being played out of position and I hate it even more when they're judged in that position. Even Steve Bruce didn't play him on the wing. That's how annoying Big Sam's has been in regards to team selection, he makes Bruce look sensible at times. Hopefully if we stay up we can sign some natural wide men
Sam has been a bit unlucky with injuries in that position to be fair... We should have Khazri Watmore Lens and Borini fighting for the two wing spots, but three of them have been ruled out for the past month or so.... I'm hoping now they're coming back we won't be seeing N'Doye on the wing again.
