first half we took a while to get going, second half miles better and the scoreline doesn't do us justice.i said at the start i didn't expect a win as i'm a realist but some very encouraging signs with faurlin and granero, also defended reasonably well compared to recent games.

player wise Granero stood out for me,superb control, great vision, rarely loses then ball and his set pieces are different gravy.Faurlin looked like he had never been away every inch a quality player.Ryan Nelsen deserves special praise too looked very assured and solid, bye bye clint hill.

rob green looked much better today but his one main failing for me is his command of his area,i know Cesar will be our no.1 but Rob did what was required and can't be faulted for any of the goals directly.swp also looked lively but still gives away possession too much.

AJ and Zamora worked hard up front and did well for the goal and bobby ran his socks off today.still a lot of work to do but all in all the positives out weighed the negatives for me.

Overall I agree with most of that. However I thought it was a fair scoreline. City could have been out of sight by half time. I had a sense though in the final 15 mins that we were going to get an equaliser.

We only settled once we went a goal behind and we had them worried in the 2nd half, a full team could have got a result there.

They got all the decisions though, the 1st goal came from a corner where Nelson didnt get within a yard of the ball. Kolorov produced 2 nailed on yellow card fouls while already on a yellow and the ref bottled it both times and to top it off, they got a really lucky 3rd goal that tevez knew little about.
