Correct plus why should a club that has been caught cheating in order to win things be given a clean slate?
I don't know why. It seems to be the majority view on FF - though most of them just want to do it to spite the other teams in the SPL.
They still get money if we liquidate and newco. They get a share of the money made selling all the assets. So, I guess it's what kind of precedent HMRC want to set. Do they want to be seen agreeing a penny in the pound deal (CVA) on £9 million unpaid tax? My understanding is that they won't do that, but I don't know for certain.
Why let green do a newco? Start your own and have fan ownership from the start you'll get Ibrox back in time after fans embrace the new club. You'll be able to sign players as you have no connection to the old club and rent elsewhere in the meantime.
monaco is right - spl and cva is far and away best option - even with penalties a newco spl is better - realistically even if you get back to back promotion each year you will not challenge for the spl titles for 5 seasons id say get newco spl and you are back in 2 or 3 or - and this is out the box i know - form a streetdance company instead
But you could set up and initially have a smattering of fenians about the place but then revert to type soon afterwards. Everyone's a winner.
I said this a while ago tell the guys in suits to **** off as they have well and truly ****ed you's and rent hampden, we did. In the long term this will probably benefit you more than be crippled in the spl for the next 3 years under the ownership of chairman with murray like ego's. A cva/newco seems like a stop gap solution and you'll probably be back in admin just like portsmouth and all the other clubs in the next year(s).
