Great news lads, Muntari has landed, bring on Stoke.

"Sulley Muntari is in contention for Saturday's Barclays Premier League game at Stoke after jetting into the UK.
The 26-year-old put the finishing touches to his loan move from Internazionale on Saturday afternoon before heading back to Italy to finalise visa paperwork.
He missed Tuesday's defeat to Chelsea but trained alongside his new team-mates at the Academy of Light yesterday.
And he is available for selection ahead of the weekend's trip to the Britannia Stadium alongside fellow boy Stephane Sessegnon.
Muntari, a Ghana international, is back in English football for the first time since summer 2008, when he left Portsmouth for Inter in a move worth approximately £14m to the Fratton Park club.
The midfielder won a host of silverware including the Champions' League and two Serie A titles with the Nerazzuri before joining Sunderland on loan until the end of the season"

Going to hit you with a dilema now Syd, who do we drop?

I'd say Henderson as i think the lad needs a break, or do we drop Elmo and push Jordan out wide?

Can't drop Steed, simply brilliant the other night and Sessegnon needs games.

    Decisions, decisions.

I never even thought about Catts to be honest, didn't think he was ready to come back?

no idea, he was supposed to be out for a month, but it's a back injury so i doubt it's straightforward. sure i read somewhere he was close to a return though, but we don't need to rush him with muntari available.

catts looks a soft touch compared to this lad - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GU35rIXJ2FQ

    Hendo..Muntari..Steed..Sess
    Richardson
    Gyan

Yes, Mensah for Anton, just think his style will fit better against Stoke

There were rumours he might be named in the squad to face Chelsea, obviously never happened but i've not seen any mention of him anywhere TBH, there's nowt on the Club site.

TBH last week i would have been worried by that statement chris but with our 2 new signings coming in i'm not so sure. We do need a bit of steel in the middle but i'm hoping Muntari will provide that and i'm almost tempted to say we should use Mensah in that holding role.

I'd go with the same personnel that the wise old owl of the message boards suggests (Syd in case you hadn't made the assosciation)<ok>

    With the following provisos:

    - we adopt 4-5-1 when they have the ball and spring to 4-3-3 when we have it. 0r more precisely 4-3-2-1 if you will (Christmas tree). Encouraging Sess and Rico to play close to and off Asamoah.
    - Mensah is 'fully' fit?
    - Balls up to Gyan should be on the deck as much as possible even it means him coming deeper to secure good possession

    Then I will be happy:emoticon-0150-hands

My team would be if everybody was fit

    .............................Gordon..............................
    Bards........Bramble.............Mensah.........Richo
    ...........Catts ...........................Muntari.............
    Sessegnon...........................................Steed...
    ...................Gyan............Welbeck...................

I would drop Onhoua as I thought he played poor against Chelsea, Bards to right back Richo to left back this would give us great over lapping full backs. I just think it would give the team a great balance.
