Such a shame and at the age of 24. What he has been through it is a miracle he is still alive. As he states that being down to the actions of the Staff of Bolton, Spurs and the Hospital. Bolton's Fabrice Muamba has announced his retirement from football. The 24-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch during the FA Cup tie against Tottenham on 17th March. "While the news is devastating, I have much to be thankful for," Muamba has told Bolton's official website. "I thank God that I am alive and I pay tribute once again to the members of the medical team who never gave up on me."
Not surprising. He's very lucky to be alive so although it's a shame to see his career end at 24 it could have been a hell of a lot worse for him. He can't risk another cardiac arrest for the sake of playing football. Maybe he'll go into coaching. Good luck to him for whatever he decides to do next.
They were all at the same time - it happens. No need to apologise. I saw the news, and like you, decided to make a thread for it at the same time.
Hey guys, apparently Jim Magilton's been sacked... Ok seriously, it's hard to be surprised and even if the medical people said he was ok physically to carry on, it would have been a tough decision. I'm sure he will find a new path in the game whether that is in someone's backroom staff, media or something else.
I was going to post this , but as it would have been the 4th , decided not to bother ..... "While the news is devastating, I have much to be thankful for," said Muamba. He's not wrong . Good luck for the future
I think he'll be seen in the future as a potential England player had it not been for the cardiac arrest. Good luck to him.
Very sad. Good luck to him. He comes across as a sound bloke. Very popular with the fans before any of this happened.
