Never heard him speak before... little disappointed, think he needs to speak about an octave lower, and stare intently at the interviewer throughout! Nevertheless, congrats, and well deserved, turning into one of the top CB's in the prem. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/free-video-skrtel-on-award
Skrtel is a really good player and i know for a fact that there are many teams that would love to have him. He has made his position his own and has made it difficult for anyone else to come in he did not miss a single game last season and looks like he is doing the same bar 1 or 2 games this time round IMO he is our next Hypia just needs to find the net a bit more
Skrtel is a player I was condemning not too long ago. His over aggresive approach really annoyed me, especially at set pieces where he never watched the ball but instead grabbed any part of the opponent and dragged them down or out of play, that sort of stuff was going to cost us penlties and lots of them once the referees cottened on. However, this season he has been much better and seems to have cut out most of the grabbing now too. I think Steve Clarke as had an influence on him but, ultimately, him being the right sided centre back has helped him no end too. This is something he only gets to do alongside Agger. He has certainly changed my opinion of him over the last few months!
Been in very good form this season. He's improved his intelligence and reading of the game which I think has been a result of working with Steve Clarke and playing alonside Agger. Also, I think Martin has worked on his composure and looks more comfortable with the ball at his feet.
He is without doubt our most improved player this season. In my opinion, this is due in no small part to playing alongside Agger, who, as far as I'm concerned, is a far more complete player, and in the mold of Alan Hansen himself
I like that. Skrtel the best in the league? Hmm still ahs Vidic, Agger, and Kompany to take over for me.
