Ball-to-hand without question. Brady was violently assaulted, don't know why West Ham are complaining.

Don't they always argue it has to be deliberate? Personally I think that's ridiculous (who deliberately handballs it in the area?) but pundits are always saying that about those kinds of decisions. The cross was going nowhere anyway.

Allardyce was scathing about Brady! I've never liked him for that, he's always really over the top in talking about decisions and exaggerates hugely. Brady didn't dive at all. You just have to wonder why people keep pushing our players in the box when there's literally no danger from an Elmo cross.

I used to debate this with my Dad a lot. He'd always say the rules are that any deliberate handball should be an automatic yellow card, (or red if handballed off the goal-line). I countered it by saying that just for a free-kick it had to be deliberate and by his definition every handball infringement would result in a yellow card. Agreed, it can be an odd one.

Huddersfield's penalty there reminded me of the one Tyrone Mears got for Burnley in that game at Turf Moor in 2009. He swung for the ball, missed, fell over and won a penalty <laugh>

I'd have liked to have seen the offside given against Sone Aluko - it looked a pretty close decision. Nolan's "tackle" on Rosie looked as bad on the replay as it did in real time this afternoon.

It was a shocking tackle. Rosenior's foot was planted and he went right down on his ankle, he was lucky not to get hurt there. The Aluko goal looked well onside to me at the time so I was looking forward to seeing the replay. He had a guy right next to him the whole time. They also should have shown the Aluko free kick becuse that was a great save. Overall we obviously deserved the win, our chances were far better than theirs and we came much closer to scoring a second than they did to getting an equaliser.

I thought Nolan's tackle was bad at the time but seeing it again on MOTD it was shocking - should have been a red.

Can't comment on Aluko's offside as I was in the corner of W1 and therefore at an awkward angle to judge.

I thought Aluko was onside, but seeing it on MoTD, he'd just strayed just a yard past the last defender. On another day, we may have go the rub of the green.

    The latter. Lewis is correct.

Dont. You get what you deserve in most cases.

AS for MOTD, shame they did not comment on Nolan. I bet Chris Kamara on goals on dunday(sky sports) will look at that in depth.

It's possibly the most blatant handball for a pen you'll see. If you lead with your elbow to the ball then it's handball.

    These things even themselves out.

Like Torres diving to get the free kick from which Lampard scored in the first game.

There's two kind of deliberate, in my view. Direct, when a player obviously moves his arm towards the ball in a deliberate attempt to affect it's movement. But there is also indirect, where a player positions his arm in a place where it wouldn't naturally be ie. by his side.

Personally if I were a Wet Spam fan, and thank The Lord I am not, after watching the talentless rubbish they served up yesterday, I would be unhappy that the handball against Livermore did not result in a penalty.

Having said that they didn't deserve to get anything out of the game and Nolan should have walked to the two footed lunge on Rosenior in the first few minutes.

Ah yes. The media bias against us and the north.

    1) Our game had less goals in it than the other 6
    2) That well known northern team West Ham were our opponents

    And even then...

    MOTD RUNNING ORDER

Time to book your place on the sofa - the all-important Match of the Day running order has been announced.

    #MOTD at 10.30pm: 1. Man Utd/WBA 2. Villa/Man City 3. Spurs/Chelsea 4. Swansea/Arsenal 5. Fulham/Cardiff 6. Saints/Palace 7. Hull/West Ham

Having seen plenty of Hull v West Ham - that must be one of the best games to be last on MOTD for many a month.
