Just realised last day of the month today, 11 days to go before we kick off against Shrewsbury - From when the takeover news was first announced I would have never have believed we would still be waiting for further news. Actually I have kind of given up hope on it happening for a good while yet. Prospective new owners spoke to Snoddy and could not change his mind - Mmmm why? Warnock signing cheap players and wheeling and dealing for funds, his signings do not look like ones from a manager who has a possible pot of cash around the corner. Forget if we think they are any good or better/worse that last season, the question is would Warnock be signing these players if money was available around the corner?? I am starting to believe that DD is a delay tactic for either the buyer or KB - for what reason I do not know but it isn't making sense any longer - I know, I know it is a large tangled web but come on, a team of experts and professionals paid mega amounts of money and it takes this long????
Morning elland and the crew. Alan Martin hit his peak and just couldn't seem to progress. He seemed like quite a heavy lad (erm...Kenny) and looked slow when I saw him last. Heard he was going to Bradford PA but not sure if he's there now. Shame really, think mentally he couldn't step up, looked quality as a youngster.

Ristac Would you buy anything from Bates and not make sure you were not going to be shafted. Yes its taking far too long, but we're talking about someone paying around £50m and bates has history as Abramovitch will tell you. bates has a huge tangled web of offshore companies, so its not straightforward, and I'm sure the DD guys have already discovered some anomolies that need explaning/clarification.
Let me turn the question around and ask when does it become too long? Ristac I agree its gone on too long, but thats only because I want to see some action, and accept that its probably cost us Snodds. But I would rather this deal is done right, rather than see what can happen when a deal is rushed through. Look at Portsmouth as its never recovered since Mandric sold it as its gone bust twice since. Forest was a simple thing to buy as it was just a family selling their shares in a company the family owned. Leicester was a simple deal and so too was Reading and Southampton (Once that cock was forced out) Look at some of the wreckage left after deals had not worked out as expected. Birmingham and Villa for 2. Lets just hope this thing is done properly leaving the new owners in no doubt about what they will own, what the liabilities are and how much the new business model will cost them this season.

Morning elland et al Doesn't matter when the takeover happens, but I am confident a takeover will happen this season some time as there is no cashflow for Bates to be able to stay. When the takeover happens, it will take a good 6 months to understand what it means in terms of whether the owners have money or whether they are following the same Bates model. If they keep Harvey, I think I can predict what they are going to be like. If Lorimer stays, we're screwed
