So that's an improvement. If Hunt goes back to the development squad and either Varney or Poleon play with him up top, that should help. I also think having Diouf in the side will help, as he has the ability to make telling passes for others to finsh off.
OT my eldest daughter had a couple of bouts of surgery lately and got results today all clear. Wont elaborate but were all walking on air. Health more important than anything out there

I don't think Smith is dross at all, football is a team sport and I think he'll do fine once we can play a formation that can provide him the service. He needs to be attacking pacy crosses not trying to get a flick on or knock down from set peices from deep. I think we're just seeing a swing in defensive form and it's very important given the style we're having to play due to the players we have on our books. McDermott always said he's an advocate of suiting the formation and tactics to the team at his disposal. I think he's doing the best with what we have and of course trying to improve it. I'm 100% against removing him. I think that would be a stupidly huge mistake. If we're in the relgation zone in January below teams with worse squads or has lost the dressing room, then sure you'd have to consider it... but if that happens we'd probably have bigger worries than who the manager is. So all in all, it's a mute point. Just the usual loud mouths going OTT. Best to ignore 'em. Plenty of season left, still plenty of time too in the loan window.
We cannot continue the diamond midfield, especially in its current setup. This is the cause of all our issues imo. Never rated Kenny, think he makes easy saves look hard and doesn't get anywhere near shots that our previous keepers (Lonners and Kasper) would have saved easily. Fumbles the ball often and his distribution is nothing short of poor, have no idea how he has won fans over if I'm honest.
