Whereabouts on the pitch was Dawson playing at the time? On the wing? If so, might make some sense. If not, & he's in central midfield or in the back 4, then certainly not. If we're trying to get the best out of Barclay I hop he's not also being told to lump it forward. Everton will recall him pretty smartish if he is.

Cheers Shaks. One has to remain a bit optimistic. As I said somewhere else, things could still be a whole lot worse. We could find GFH really don't haveany money & then go into administration themselves, which might then put us back into administration, ich might then require Lord Bates of Monaco to come & save us again, which might result in Becchio, Ross, Byram, Poleon et al all being sold!!!

came across this recently, that i remembered from a while ago after warnock left qpr. We kind of put this down to barton having a personal gripe with warnock... but it looks kind of prophetic now... no plan, lots of excuses. I suspect Colin, may be making similar excuses soon, only with the fans to blame for poisoning the owners, not the players.

No different I suspect on any Leeds forums. Imagine how gfh are feeling. Not a clue what theyre doing, no money to do it with and I suspect matchday attendances likely to hit new low levels if they're not very careful

They could relieve a lot of that pressure by throwing bates out on his arse, explaining that the reason the finances are in such a sorry state is the building work, and that they can't do anything right now until they restructure the clubs finances to allow all income to be spent on the team. They need to explain to fans that the problem at the moment is we can't pay any fees until the club has been profitable long enough to build up some capital.

Spot on. The lack of communication just creates a vacuum for rumours to circulate in. There are a few things that GFH could say right away:

“Firstly, we want to thank the fans for their patience since January. Taking over a huge club like Leeds United is a huge undertaking and both the Chairman and the Board have been very busy Our immediate short-term priority is to acquire Warnock’s transfer targets in January and there are resources are in place to make this happen. However they are also working on a fundamental review of how the club is run and how it uses its assets. This will include looking into the long-term viability of Yorkshire Radio etc and the options for buying back Elland Road and Thorp Arch. It will also look at pricing policy for tickets and examine what resources are required for Leeds United to again be a permanent force in the Premier League.

We also wish to announce that Ken Bates will cease to be a member of the Leeds United Board from 1st May 2013, upon which he will become Club President.

We also believe that transparency and openness must be at the heart of everything we do. We are therefore pleased to announce that from February the Chairman and members of the board will be holding monthly Q&A sessions, which Leeds fans are welcome to attend. Further details will be published at www.leedsunited.com.

Finally, thank you for your great support during what has been, at times, a difficult season. We hope that many more of you will be able to cheer the team on during the next few months and beyond.”

I think Warnock should be tested for illegal substances. He's obviously seeing something we're not..:emoticon-0100-smile
