Morning Folks, Not that much to go through, so we start today with.... On this day in history.... 2000 Leeds play their first ever champions League fixture when they entertain German side TSV 1860 Munich in a two legged qualifier.Alan Smith and Ian Harte ensure Leeds go into the second leg with a slender 2-1 lead. 2005 Robbie Blake is on target as Leeds lose their first away game of the season 2-1 at Cardiff City.2007Alan Thompson and Tore Andre Flo both sign one year deals with the club.Football League chairmen vote to reject Leeds United's appeal against starting the season with a 15-point deduction because of the club's breach of the League's insolvency policy.According to reports, more than 75 per cent of the 71 chairmen of Football League clubs voted in favour of the punishment. Leeds had already issued a statement saying the club are considering their options. . 2008 Leeds start the season with a nail-biting 2-1 win at Scunthorpe United. Enoch Showunmi and Jermaine Beckford score in the final ten minutes to earn Leeds three points. 2011 Leeds beat local neighbours Bradford City 3-2 at Elland Road in the first round of the Carling Cup. Ramon Nunez scores twice and Ross McCormack is also on target for Leeds as they progress to the second round.Robert Snodgrass will make his first start for Scotland in the international friendly with Denmark. Apparantly we are fighting it out with Burnley and Millwall for £500,000-rated Sheffield United Captain Nick Montgomery. Do we really want a defensive midfielder??? We want a winger and a forward Aaargghhhhhhh.....
Neil Warnock has admitted that further new signings at Leeds United are now dependent on players leaving Elland Road – with doubts starting to surround the takeover of the Championship club. Warnock revealed that the departure of existing first-team players would be necessary to fund more additions to his squad as negotiations continued over the proposed buy-out of Leeds by a Middle Eastern consortium. United have been in talks with potential purchasers for almost two months but have made no comment on the progress of discussions since announcing on June 26 that an unnamed group were performing due diligence on the accounts at Elland Road. Leeds chief executive Shaun Harvey is understood to have flown to Monaco yesterday to meet with chairman Ken Bates for further talks
Got in to an email from my insurance saying "Further to this claim please be advised that we have received information to advise that there is no CCTV of the incident occurring. For this reason we feel we are unable to defend against this claim any further. We have reviewed the circumstances of the incident and feel that the driver of your vehicle will be held responsible." ****S!!!!!!
1 of my workmates knows Nick Montgomery and told me last season he would join us, can't really see it myself but I know hes always wanted to come to Leeds but we wouldn't match Sheff Utd
Lets hope that Harvey talks some sense into the old git and he sells up. If not I don't want to see the likes of McCormack sold to bring someone else in. We sold Snoody and we brought in Peltier and have no money for new signings - Where has the rest of the Snoddy money gone?? Sell McCormack and exactly the same will happen. If there is no money go into the new season with what we have and let Bates watch us languish mid table - Morning btw
Rumours and more rumours, I get sick of them. So Harvey flew to Monaco yesterday did he. I thought Bates was supposed to be flying in to Leeds today .....
Morning all. We have Brown & Austin, with others who can fill that role should the need arise. Why would we want any more DMs? Attacking midfield, or better still, a 20 goal a season striker is what we really need.
http://rightinthegarykellys.com/2012/08/09/robbie-rogers-now-ready-to-fill-snoddys-boots/ sOMEBODY SHOULD TELL HIM, HE'S BEEN PLACED ON THE TRANSFER LIST....
WE NEED A WINGER! Morning all Kissa, so the work on your motor is going to have to come out of your own pocket? Criminal mate. Its like trying to get blood out of stone trying to get money out of the bastards! Not that it will make much difference to them but move Insurance company's.
Bucks Insurance emailed me telling me to accept responsibilty = me in a **** mood I then rang my solicitor who told me the other guy had accepted liabilty = me happy I then found out the takeover had collapsed and Rogers was transfer listed = me not happy I then found out Pugh was joining him on the transfer list = me a bit happier but still pissed off bates is gonna still be in chare
If he popped it after that it would be the icing on the cake for me... I hate the cnut, especially now!
