Don't get me wrong, I am as pleased as punch that we have got off to a decent start but I am going to remain grounded. I don't believe for a moment BMD can shake a magical stick and transform what he inherited in such a short space of time. This has new manager syndrome written all over it.

I wanted NW in and I wanted him out, I was so wrong about him, I said before I will sit on the fence next time so until BMD gets some funds to play with and we can see what he does with them then I will start to judge.

For me NW wasted far too much of far too little and the icing on the cake was swapping Becchio for Morisson <ok>

I don't buy into 'players don't like being shouted at/abused' sorry, just my opinion. All were signed by NW some worked with him before all know what he is about.

Anyway, it is sounding like I am against BMD or unhappy with how things are going, as this isn't the case and as I am very pleased with the two wins and so far the appointment I will say no more <ok>

Three games left and BMcD can see what he wants for next season. I hope he can persuade the money guys to part with some !
It will be interesting to see which clubs mean business next year by the activity in the transfer market at the end of the season. A time for Premier clubs to have a clear out and buy some more expensive foreign players !! perhaps.

As ever we are all thinking along the same lines of "optimistic hope of a bright future".

We have been here before for a number of years now but as ever I think "next year will be the year" <whistle>

    Cheers for the link <ok>

Great goal, fantastic ball in by Diouf and a really good finish. From what I've seen of Rudy before, I'm surprised he didn't just smash it into the keeper and take him into the net as well <laugh>

Re. this passing debate, guys - McD was on the radio last night & said that he doesn't promote any particular style of play - he fits the style around the players that are available to him. So please don't assume he's a 'tippy-tappy' idealist - he'll do whatever's required to win.

Probably that, and he's actually had a break from the massive run of games he played over summer and back into last season!

Could turn out to be the player that we were all excited about back at the start of the season <ok>

If Huddersfield are relegated, I take it they will lose Beckford. We could swap him for Morison

In what universe is Burnley our bogey team? In the last 3 seasons we've beaten them in 5 of the 6 games we've played...

Can't wait for next season although the seems to happen every year. Start of the season slow, get half decent, get ****, get really ****, blow promotion, sack the manager, get a better one in, start playing good, too late/miss out on play offs, don't worry lads now we've got sone so we'll get it next season and repeat. Hopefully McDermott will break this pattern for once and judging by yesterday he will.

The trying to impress the boss would have seen them trying harder but without a better system they'd still be struggling. The whole team looks more comfortable on the ball.

I was at the game, sounds about right. We've been lacking threat going forward ever since we lost Gradel, and subsequently Howson, Snodgrass and Becchio. The side has slowly had less going forward and it's something that needs to be addressed in the summer.

I'm particularly impressed by the way Brian McDermott has handled Morison. He's pulled him out of the spotlight, left him out of the squad entirely and been honest about why he's doing it. Clear he feels Warnock put far too much pressure and expectation on the shoulders of a player who had just come back from injury and a long lay off, low on confidence and it's showing in his performances. If Morison had come here on the back of a run of form then it might be different but it's not. Using the words legend to describe a player who hasn't kicked a ball for your team yet, or even at all in months, is a great way to pile on the pressure.

Will be interesting to see what he's capable of when the pressure is gone. I expect we'll find out in pre season and if he isn't cutting it he'll get sold to League One.

They certainly used to be our bogey team, same as Stoke were. When we won the league in '74, after going unbeaten for the first 29 games, we then lost 3-2 at Stoke after being 2-0 up, then lost 4-1 at home to Burnley <doh>

    I'll get my anorak <ok>

Absolutely agree with that. Warnock could complain all he likes about fans getting on players backs, but if he builds them up like he did with Morrison, what is he to expect? While I agree that pre-season will be a good time to look at him, if it's true we're paying him 25k, then he'll be hard to shift anyway, particularly to League One.

That's right M8 they were rubbish,I arrived both times confident of a win.Do remember 1 good win at Stoke though, think it was 89.Leeds had a free kick just outside the area, and the Stoke keeper came off his line adjusting the wall,Strachan chipped the ball over into the net and ran off laughing before the stoke keeper knew what had happened.
