do you really believe that uncle ken intends to offer the kind of wages these guys would require? and will colin take a job with a guarantee of failure without new signings? maybe the temp manager will win a game and get made permanent on say £40k pa
Sadly, it will probably be Redfearn til the end of the season. I highly doubt Bates will get anyone in until at least after the weekend, so he can see what Redfearn does. If he wins he'll keep him in for a bit longer, its cheap and Bates likes cheap.
He'll also want to get a new manager in so the new manager has chance to settle in and not ask for unreasonable terms like, say, money to spend in the transfer window. Once the manager is settled in before summer, Bates can then pull his puppet strings and argue his nonsensical jibberish and keep another manager sucked into this farce.
Bookies are not usually far wrong, I see Clark has been bet down from 20/1 to joint favourite with Warnock now
They'll put anyone in and cut their odds if they think they can make a quick buck on it. They never knew we were getting Grayson. In short, they know nothing more than the rest of us.
Yes I did, player manager, the guy would be a legend. Paddy as his assistant/defensive coach. Sorted. Put it this way, I'd rather those two than Bruce, Keane etc.
We've never met Irish, but from having read your previous posts on the old 606 & elsewhere, I doubt you're a knuckle dragger so. I still think that at this level at least, Bruce has enough experience to push us in the right direction towards the PL. As to whether he would want to deal with Papa Smurf, that's a different question/problem entirely
Football's all about being able to be a knuckle-dragger from time to time. Otherwise it would be a boring, pragmatic hobby like knitting or forensic accounting. If Bates appointed any ex-scum like Bruce, I'd burn my season ticket inside the stadium and never even go to Leeds away games again to watch that Gargoyle tainting our club with his scum presence. BRUCE, INCE, KEANE, SCUM OUT.
No probs Shacks. 18, if Bates appointed Bruce & his man management skills got more out of the team than Grayson & as a result we at least made the play off final, would you give him an even break & back him for next season?
Only if he renounced his scum links entirely like Strachan and Giles did. But then again, that's impossible to do once you've stopped your playing career. So in short, no. I'd probably go watch Gateshead or someone instead of Leeds if he joined.
I suppose Bates could tempt Bruce, he could pay him in pies. What has he ever achieved as a manager? Absolute Knob that's nothing to do with him been a scumbag either.
Urgh so frustrated with the whole situation, I honestly couldn't care less who we get, because I don't think it'll make a blind bit of difference.
