The times I've seen him play (reserve matches) he looked ok as a shot stopper , a bit un decesive with crosses and small with it . a panic buy at the time I always found it strange that he'd be playing reserve games and Tremmel would be named sub for the ist team .Any way one off the wage bill and good luck whether ever he ends up playing

Good luck to him. Nice comments from someone who could have been bitter.

On this site, less than a year ago, we were bricking it because we had no keeper. If we overspent on Moreira, then it was probably the same risk/gamble with Vorm. No one dreamt Vorm would have come as good this year. Getting Moreira, Tremmel and Vorm was a gamble, but it paid off in the end!

Good luck to Moreira, who knows what a regular run of games might do for him.

He's actually very experienced. Wrong place wrong time for him. If fans are saying 'Who?' then they don't follow the Club.

What a classy guy. He didn't need to release such a glowing statement, makes me realise just how good things are behind the scenes. Hope he gets a regular spot in his new club.

Totally. Especially considering he's never really been no1, it must have grated seeing Vorm supercede him, but top effort and great humility. Good luck, Joao!

Good luck to him. When he signed, it was only him and Cornell on our books. Tremmel was still on trial and, although Vorm must have been on our radar, we clearly weren't sure about signing him. Moreirra was the right signing at the time.

As an aside, I do not understand the surprise that many people are displaying when it comes to the quality of Vorm this season. We signed the Dutch international reserve keeper who was on the bench at a world cup. He was always going to be a quality keeper. The fact that we, and the British media, hadn't heard of him or rated him is due to our narrow minded ignorance, and our own small club mentality i.e. "He cost 1.5mill and signed for us, therefore he can only be of a certain standard." I'll repeat it, he was the second best goalkeeper in all of Holland before we signed him! It really grinds my gears when pundits and journalists act surprised at his quality, instead of accepting that the best players in the world don't all have to play for the highest achieving and most fashionable clubs.

    Rant over. As you were.
