as a one off result this would be brushed off easily, because it sounds like we played well unlike at burnley where we deserved what we got. but once again 2 easy goals for the opposition ruin the whole game in which we deserved something. We need to learn how to defend like watford did...

Mike, I think the die is cast. We deserved at least a draw today but once they equalized through a soft penalty I just knew that they would sieze the initiative and so it proved. I must admit I left shortly after they scored the 2nd goal. The first time that I have ever left early in all the years I have been watching football at Portman Road. The manager is a dead man walking. He cant survive after losing 7 on the bounce, not even the referees decisions are going for us atm! Very bleak times ahead and with a now crucial trip away to an improving Barnsley to come, I really don't hold out much hope. This game is the live game next weekend so I just hope it pisses down with snow!

Well, I travelled 300 miles and still enjoyed the game, ...am I barking?! But, yes, we did play well at times, and deserved much more...when we are down, lady luck does not shine on us!
What was striking was that every player tried hard today which is a nice change. Even Bowyer. In fact for much of 2nd half we were bombarding their goal...just one glance form many strikes would have seen us 2 up and comfortable. Martin had a good game too, as did Scotland. Nice to see the steadying influence of Sonko who gets to every ball in the air. Not sure about Murphy tho, on right, didnt look comfortable. And we had several decent shouts for penalties. As I say, the rub of the green goes agin you when on a losing streak...and 7 is more than just a streak!

There we go, and fortunately other results went our way. £90 quid for ticket, fuel and sarnies...worth it? Just about, it's only a game!

So, I am sticking my neck out, and say keep with PJ, dont change the players round again, keep the faith, and we will turn it round

Sounded like a much better performance today, if it was similar to that of tuesday nights I think that probably be the time for Jewell to leave, as it was just dire. But I feel given time he will get this right but it is very very concerning we need to stop the rut.

Its not good when you're on a 6 game winless streak and you have to play your bogey team watford and then play on tv the next week(I've never seen us play well on tv)!!!

I enjoyed the game, despite the long drive from Lincolnshire and back! Pleasantly surprised to see the players displaying so much heart and Bowyer played really quite well. Murphy went missing for a bit but he kept winning headers out wide to set attacks up; it was like having Jon Walters back!

Stick with the side, maybe bring Carson in on one of the wings, and hope we can turn it around. I saw enough in that match to believe we can change under PJ, but he needs a win at Barnsley or all this promise will mean nothing.
