So long as eventually is in 5 or 6 hours then im OK with that, Or it could stop for a bit then restart at say 5ish. That would also be fine.
Hopefully not, I think they only have three sets of full wets for the race and apparently they don't last long. Hopefully a wet start, inters for the middle and slicks at the end.
You would say hopefully not lol. I want it to rain until the checkered flag, if the wets don't last long, how will they (the cars and drivers) survive?
If it rains during the race McLaren will be fast, even if it dry then McLaren will still be fast because the rain wouldve washed away the rubber making it slippery and more downforce (more wing) will be very effective! Though strategy is something McLaren lack during the race, so im not holding my breath for sure!
Sorry to rain on your parade (sorry-that's poor), but Christian Horner said they have a setup that will cover bad weather as much as is possible without compromising a dry race, I don't think Mclaren will gain a lot if they are set up for the wet.
For those interested, there is a live web cam of montreal here, and you can see it's pretty damp at the moment.
They don't need to gain much to be in with a shout. As Jenson Button said yesterday they never setup a car specifically for Wet/Dry but it seems that the McLarens may have leaned toward a wet setup with the wing and gear ratios more than Red Bull and ferrari who are presumably either in the middle or leaning towards dry.
Thanks for the webcam. Button explained it well in his interview I think. The teams are so familiar with racing in the wet these days that the cars are optimised for pretty much any weather conditions. A 'wet setup' therefore amounts to running more wing for greater downforce. All the teams are probably equally able to cope with a wet race.
Cheers. I'll have to keep an eye on that... don't want to miss Hamilton rear ending someone at the traffic lights.
