So i backed Jim Furyk ew in the Travellers Championship last week and last night Paddy Power voided my bet and refunded my stake before the tournament had finished. Was called a 'Justice payout' in my account. So i e-mailed them and asked why it had been refunded before the tournament had finished. They said Furyk had finished tied 7th and because they were paying 7 places they refunded my bet as a good will gesture. I explained to them that with the tournament still ongoing Furyk (at the time) was tied for 5th and could at best finish outright 3rd. The adviser told me they'd pass the query onto their manager and gave me a no strings free £20 bet for my trouble. I've woken up this morning to no explanation but with a £20 free bet, the place part of Furyk coming tied 5th and my full original stake returned all in my account. Obviously i'm happy with this but why do they **** about and try have us over? We're not talking huge amounts of money here but just the principle of it all, trying to refund my bet like they're doing me a massive favour when it still has a chance of winning more money.

Anyway now thats out of the way anyone got a decent horse i can blow my free bet on??

Here's a good one for a Monday morning. I was perusing a list of names at work here - people who need to re-do their first aid training or fire helper training, to see if there is anyone from my team on the list. Believe it or not, there is a gentleman in my company who bears the name Sebastian ****. How cool is that?

    Walkabout

Treble. Should get a fair run for my money.

    Have a good week all.

For anyone interested - that Food Festival I went to with my wine business was really successful. Nice to see people try my wines and enjoy them.

    It's good to be back.

When you're a child, this 6 weeks Summer holiday never seems long enough.
Now I'm a parent, it seems like a hell of a long time and we're not even half way throught it yet.

Blimey, the football season has started ( 2-0 to the Whites, even tho they were playing in green ) and the Olympics is on. No time to blink.

Amidst all that, there's Monday's cards.
2 at Ayr of interest for me this afternoon.
Vallarta in the 3.30 and Blue Sonic in the 4.00 look like the best value for me.
Then, this evening at Ffos Las, I'm drawn to Street Outlaw in the 7.00; that might be worth a dabble.

    Good Luck to all.

What a surprise, odds on jolly yet again beaten by the outsider. And it's Fahey's beaten, let's have a look and see if he has any outsiders today.

Don't think this 5.00 Ayr will take much winning so the complete outsider who has not run for 1054 days is the one for me. HUNDRED ACRE WOOD 50/1.

    No expert when it comes to Irish racing but had a look at Ballinrobe tonight and thought I would share my thoughts;

PURSECCO in the first has to make the frame and can be backed EW at 9/2
Paul Townend has a cracking record here and only has a couple of rides that are decent prices.
ONTHEWAYBACK in the bumper showed a glimmer of ability at Galway and the jockey has a stunning track record. Nice EW price at 22/1
