Two horses I've mentioned over the past week run again today and the one I really do like is WOR LASS. Seems to be getting better and better with each run and is now going for a six timer. I again expect this one to win again today. Around 5/2 I bigged it up last week but if so surely XMAS has come early. Runs in the 3.35 Newcastle.

Also fancy CERTIFICATE who my mate passed onto me last week. Was his first run for a while and ran well for 2nd. Expected to go one better today in the 4.30 Chepstow.

Big single again on WOR LASS and double.

4.05 Downpatrick. MR MULLINER 7-2. Won a lot of money last week on The Informer thanks to a tip on here (beeforsalmon?). Was told to back the winner of The Informers previous race next time out also so here it is. The Informer is in the race too but going to go with Mr Mulliner who has been napped on several other sites tonight so thats good enough for me. Big big win bet.

BELL WEIR 16/1 is interesting in the 5:10
Off a handy mark, conditions to suit and had a pipe opener recently on the level.

Ekbalco: I'm not saying back him blind, but I have been very impressed by Henry Brooke whenever I have seen him riding at Cartmel (had a winner there on Saturday) - he seems to ride the track very well. In the handicap hurdle at 5.10, Tim Vaughan looks to have got Panis Angelicus a decent mark and he can follow up his recent Stratford victory on handicap debut. In the 4.00, Peter Bowen's Danimix would have a decent chance if he is primed for this after a 204 day absence - check his fitness in the parade ring beforehand. Generally there are a few on the card who ran on Saturday, I would probably avoid those unless they look really well. Also a couple over from Ireland from Hanlon and Elliot (the latter sends over Mistress Mole who was formerly with Paul Nicholls) who will be worth a market check.

Dan: Don't be late (first race 12:30 <yikes>). In the 1.00 it could pay to take a look at last years winner Capisci, who is just 1lb higher this year (but has STD up top instead of the Champ). In the 1.30 Neil Mulholland puts up a 7lb claimer to negate the penalty on Lee Side Lady and she can take this weak-looking affair. I've backed Milgen Bay (2.05) more times than I've had hot dinners but conditions should suit him here and he drops back to his best trip.

Hope you both have a good day <ok>

As long as she is OK with the ground stick, that would be my only slight reservation but it is a very winnable race.

Just read about the famous Gay Future sting at Cartmel on the Bank Holiday meeting in 1974. Amazing story.

Yes it was. It was ingenious with a wonderful understanding of how things worked. It almost deserved to be successful. Pity it was illegal!!

Read that they were not gaoled, but fined a thousand pounds by the courts then rubbed our for 10 years by officialdom. The article said they while the English refused to pay, some Irish bookies did indeed payout early. Looks as though they may still have made a buck. Whether it was enough to offset the losses in England is another matter.

English Summer in the 4.15 Epsom. Quite apt for a day like today I think you'd agree. The name aside I think he will go well, has the best recent form, has won at the track, won't mind the soft going and I see that a certain Mr P Mullins is coming over to take the ride.

I also like Simple attack in the 2.25 Newc. I just can't ignore bin surroor's form at the moment, his horses are flying and he only sends this one to Newc. Won on the course lto and should go well.
