I'm a bit late asking this, but what were peeps impressions of Augusta Kate's win last Sunday?

The race report sounds impressive, but wondered who saw her and what they though!

Very impressive but only really won the race like she should have. Looks a little small to me at the moment. If you get the chance to watch it on ATR, you may agree Patrick looked massive on her back.

Best bumper mare in these isles was my pre-race opinion of her and I stand by that. She's special. Takes after her mummy, what a mare she was :)

Be interesting if they send her over for the Mares Listed and Copper Kay were in opposition!

I asked on here the other day if Cooper Kay was staying in bumpers or going hurdling the other day. U any idea stick? Either way she's going a bump heads with either Limini in the mares novice or Augusta Kate in bumpers...Some clashes!

Quietly on a bit of a roll at the moment and I like one at Kempton tomorrow.
    TRUCANINI 12/1 Kempton 5:20
Course and Distance winning mare and has been thereabouts off similar marks over track and trip. Only a matter of time before she comes home in front again and with a nice draw tomorrow I am hoping this is the day. The price is far too generous for me to ignore.

She cropped up in the mares novice betting prompted my question. Thought it worthwhile to ask due to my ongoing financial relationship with Limini <laugh>

    She's clearly very decent.

She is worth covering for sure. I put her up here as a wheelbarrow job on her seasonal debut and again last time. She hasn't looked like letting me down so far and Clondaw Cian has most definitely rubber stamped her form big time!

Speed and stamina there too, way she steamed up the hill on soft at Cheltenham. You may just hope she's better schooled than Mr Hobbs Wait for Me was <laugh>

Least i know my lass can hurdle adequately!

I am waving the proverbial No Bet banner today, it looks poor at Plumpton and the AW heats look modest in general. Good luck if you play.

Didn’t watch all of Channel 4’s broadcast on Saturday but what I did I thought it reached a new low. A few discussion points.

    (i) How dull, bland and pointless is this new chap they’ve got on??? – one A.P. McCoy. Never heard of him before but he’s about as entertaining as watching paint dry.

(ii) Why does Mick Fitzgerald continually have to gaze at this A.P. McCoy like some love sick puppy. Completely put me off my mid Saturday afternoon GnT.

(iii) How bally big was Graham Cunningham’s microphone re his broadcast from Newcastle?!? I don’t know if he was trying to tell us something, there was some sort of subliminal message being broadcast or there was trouble with sound transmission and a huge ‘un was ordered. Later in the month I’m going to a production of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ and I would imagine that microphone will be bigger than the vast majority of its title stars!

One other thing re Channel 4 racing on Saturday I thought it totally amazing and unjust the way they ripped old boy Sam Twiston-Davies (the forum’s 2nd favourite Sam double barrel) to absolute pieces in the space of a few sentences. Look no-one enjoys belittling, rebuking and proverbially kicking a NH saddle monkey more than me, but even I found this over the top. In about 100 words ‘the panel’ questioned his ability, his recent capability to stay on a horse, his current form, his relationship with his employer and his confidence. Cor blimey!

Was over almost as soon as it had begun! Had to feel a bit sorry for Neil Mulholland. On the eve of the race he had 2 with sound claims and after the first obstacle he was without a runner. Still he, the Mr Waley-Cohen’s and both horses will get the chance for redemption at a later date.

My biggest gripe about the coverage is the lack of mention and visuals of all horses pre race. As a punter and fan of racing I like to see what the horses look like/ how they're behaving and how they move to the start. It's basic requirements really and I don't understand why they're not doing it.
